He’s been a prolific actor over the years, and earlier tonight (August 29) George Clooney received a great honor at the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards.
Joined backstage by girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, the “Ocean’s Eleven” star was presented with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his active involvement in helping out with numerous philanthropic projects.
Clooney rallied Hollywood around special needs like ending genocide in Darfur, Sudan, as well as the “Help for Haiti” telethon and fundraisers for Hurricane Katrina and 9/11 victims.
Bob Hope’s daughter Linda Hope told press, "Like my father, George is a person who looks beyond himself to use his celebrity ... to make a difference in the world and to inspire others to do the same."...
