American Cinema Editors have chosen veteran picture cutters David Blewitt and Jim Clark for the society's prestigious Lifetime Career Achievement Award. The award honors veteran editors whose bodies of work and reputation in the industry is outstanding. Clark is a two-time Academy Award-winning editor and is garnering awards attention for his cutting on Mike Leigh's Vera Drake. He was nominated for an Oscar the first time in 1984 for The Killing Fields, followed in 1986 by The Mission, both of which he edited for Roland Joffe.
