Matthew Atkinson got fans excited last week when he shared a snap of himself watching The Bold & the Beautiful, and it turns out this was likely more than just a nostalgic trip down memory lane. According to SoapHub.com, Atkinson is returning to the long-running soap opera in mid-June to reprise the role of Thomas Forrester. Viewers last saw Thomas in March, when he left Los Angeles for Paris, taking his son Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) with him. The character’s exit came after long-time love interest Hope (Annika Noelle) turned down his marriage proposal once again. With some encouragement from his sister, Steffi (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Thomas decided to leave LA and head abroad for a fresh start. Many fans will be hoping to see Thomas and Hope rekindle their romance, but the timing could prove awkward, to say the least. In recent episodes, Hope has been growing...

Sunday’s (May 19) American Idol finale marked the end of an era as Katy Perry served her last episode as a judge, bringing a close to her seven-season run on the hit ABC singing competition series. The emotions were high right from the start as Perry appeared on stage hand-in-hand with fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. The “Firework” singer looked visibly emotional throughout the episode, especially when host Ryan Seacrest checked in with her. “It’s my last few hours,” Perry said, fighting back tears. “Well, let’s enjoy them,” Seacrest replied. Just in case you weren’t sure where Jimmy Kimmel stood in the upcoming presidential election, he’s making it explicit, taking part in an upcoming fundraiser that will see him in conversation with President Biden and Former President Obama.
The event, which is scheduled to take place June 15th in Los Angeles, comes on the heels of a New York event hosted by Kimmel’s late-night competitor Stephen Colbert. That event, which saw Colbert interview Biden, Obama and Bill Clinton at Radio City Music Hall, raised a record-setting $26 million for Biden’s reelection campaign.
A venue hasn’t yet been announced for Kimmel’s event, but it’s set to include at least two other Hollywood heavy hitters in George Clooney and Julia Roberts, who are being billed as “special guests.”

The second episode of “Interview with the Vampire” Season 2 introduced what fans of the Vampire Chronicles have been waiting for when Louis and Claudia finally crossed the threshold of the iconic Theatres des Vampires. The episode, titled “Do You Know What It Means To Be Loved By Death,” began with Louis and Armand co-narrating the memory of their first-ever meeting on the streets of postwar Paris and ended with Louis and Claudia’s quest to find more vampires at an end as not one, not two, but fourteen new vampires enter stage right and take their places in “Interview’s” story.
But who are all of these vampires? Where did they come from? And why are they using projection technology to trick live audiences into watching them drink people for real? These are many questions and in true “Interview” fashion, only some of them have answers.
What is the Theatres des Vampires?...

An FBI arc that kicked off with this season’s premiere comes to an intense climax in Tuesday night’s finale — and in doing so, it puts Special Agent Tiffany Wallace (played by Katherine Renee Kane) in quite a moral predicament.
Season 6 opened with FBI agent Trevor Hobbs (Roshawn Franklin) being killed while working undercover with Tiffany, a death for which Agent Wallace felt some blame. That tragedy was revisited six weeks ago, when Tiffany grew convinced that the terrorist who killed Hobbs — Hakim Siran (returning guest star Antwayn Hopper) — was back in the States.

There really were no duds in the array of sketches, and Gyllenhaal was a key player in most of them, showing up every time with enough vim to be the constant centerpiece. Plus, the variety of sketches was vast, which meant Gyllenhaal also got to show off his many strengths as a performer, from his surprisingly strong singing voice to his clammy New York City accent impression and beyond. Here are some of the best moments of the episode. In his monologue, he went hard on the humble humor about the fact that he was hosting the Season 49 finale instead of Season 50. Well, Saturday Night Live closed out its 49th season last night commendably pushing the boundaries of comedy invention, female-singer lingerie, and what used to be acceptable language on broadcast television.
Commendable, because much of the season finale was broad and funny and that ought to be the real measure of standards and practices for the longest-running sketch-comedy show in entertainment history.
If you’re funny, you ought to get to push all you want.
This was another in a recent string of SNL episodes that generated a good percentage of high-decibel laughs. And if anyone was unaware that it was the season finale and the season was the 49th, the host, Jake Gyllenhaal, got the message across with unfettered emphasis in his monologue, which featured a song parody about it being the “end of the road” for this season.

Che admitted as much at the top of this week’s new Joke Swap. “Before we start, last time we did this I hired an actress to pretend to be a civil rights hero, and that was low.

We’re about due for a new live-action Scooby-Doo movie, and Jake Gyllenhaal and Sabrina Carpenter are happy to hop into the Mystery Machine.
On this week’s SNL, host Gyllenhaal and musical guest Carpenter co-starred in a Scooby-Doo video short as Fred and Daphne, with Mikey Day as Shaggy and Sarah Sherman as Velma, along with a CGI Scooby. The gang searched a spooky haunted house for “the Shadow Phantom,” capturing the villain after Scooby knocked a suit of armor onto him. In typical Scooby fashion, Fred tore off the Phantom’s mask to reveal (gasp!) Old Man Franklin.

Jake Gyllenhaal decided to showcase his vocal talent during the Season 49 finale of “Saturday Night Live.” The actors began serenading the audience with a rendition of Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road.” During the ballad, Gyllenhaal switched up the lyrics, claiming he was the very last choice to host for the finale. He croons, “They asked Pedro Pascal, but he wasn’t around. Zendaya said no because she’d be out of town. Even asked [Ryan] Gosling to come back again, just hosted three shows ago.”

The 49th season finale of “Saturday Night Live” opened with James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump speaking at the barricades of a Manhattan courthouse, in a nod to Trump’s ongoing legal woes amid his presidential campaign.
During the sketch, Johnson as Trump spoke about his “weird and depressing” state at the courthouse, saying, “I don’t like being in court because they say very mean things about me as I’m trying to sleep.” (It was reported that Trump fell asleep in court during proceedings.) He goes on to say, “Now that my defense is supposed to begin on Monday,...

It’s the end of the road for Saturday Night Live’s 49th season — and host Jake Gyllenhaal has the perfect way to say goodbye.
During his monologue that kicked off this week’s season finale, Gyllenhaal started out with some thinly veiled complaints that he’s stuck hosting the Season 49 finale and not the landmark Season 50 premiere. (He missed it by that much!) But he was still honored to host an SNL season finale, and he decided to commemorate it with a song, grabbing the mike to croon a version of the classic Boyz II Men torch song “End of the Road.

Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” has long been one of unscripted television’s most formally adventurous series, with a cinematic grammar that constantly evolves to express the feelings and ideas at each season’s center. Last season, for example, editor Jesse Friedman explored the “Scandoval” situation in which longtime cast member Tom Sandoval cheated on his girlfriend Ariana Madix by telling the story in reverse — a technique that had more in common with the work of Christopher Nolan and Harold Pinter than with other shows in the world of reality TV, and one that provided the perfect visual corollary for Ariana and her friends’ piecing together of the narrative. For the Season 11 finale, Friedman once again took some audacious stylistic risks that paid off not only emotionally, but indicated how the show as a whole might be coming to the end of an era.

Food Network fixture Alex Guarnaschelli is back alongside fellow celebrity chef and host Gabe Bertaccini for another season of Ciao House. This time the picturesque southern Italian region of Puglia is the chosen destination for the competition. The show challenges a dozen culinary pros from various backgrounds to bring their A-game as they face cooking challenges and maneuver team dynamics. Adding to the pressure cooker situation is the fact these participants have to cohabitate in a 16th-century villa. Those who win challenges earn the opportunity to lead teams, but that could be a double-edged sword if you’re on the losing side. Guarnaschelli and Bertaccini have the arduous task of helping decide who truly masters Italian cooking techniques and honoring the culture, history, and traditions of the region. In the end, the winner will be named Capo di Casa and receive an immersive culinary education across the country, training with acclaimed Italian master chefs.

In The Acolyte, Jedi are being killed — but who’s doing the killing? That appears to be one of the central mysteries of the show… and believe it or not, the answer might already be right in front of us. Here’s why we think we might’ve unmasked The Acolyte’s Sith Lord. A Key Sith Phrase In The Acolyte’s second trailer, there’s either an obvious clue about the Sith Lord’s identity or a massive misdirect. When we see Manny Jacinto’s character, Qimir, he tells Mae (Amandla Stenberg) that “peace is a lie.” That particular choice of words pricked up the ears of many a Star Wars fan, who recognized it as the first line of the Code of the Sith.
