EXIT Una Storia Personale by Massimiliano (Max) Amato
Trailer "EXIT Una Storia personale" a feature film by Massimiliano (Max) Amato TITLE AVAILABLE ON AMAZON (DVD&VOD) Official competition ANNECY Cinéma Italien 2010 Award for the best actor (Luca Guastini) Special mention CICAE - Pierre Todeschini (Max Amato) Date of release (Theatrical) PARIS 23 february 2011 ESPACE SAINT-MICHEL The spark that inspired the plot was meeting a young man who told me he was planning to go to Holland for an assisted suicide. The young man was convinced that this was his only way of ending an existence that he considered to lack any dignity. An extreme viewpoint, very hard to share, but to be totally honest, what I was most interested in revealing was, first and foremost, an intimate portrait of a man suffering from mental anguish and his relationship with his brother, rather than the medical, social and ethical questions that surround the matter. EXIT does not set out to be a"statement film" or a socially-committed work. If anything, it is an attempt to take a poetic approach to a topic that in one way or another regards society as a whole. (Subject and screenplay available for film industry remake)
