Unfrosted (2024)
Don't understand those who say it isn't funny
This is not meant to me a serious film, folks! It's silly and absurd and whacky, and I was laughing so hard sometimes I had to pause and go back a little to see what I missed. It's deadpan humor. There are a ton of famous actors, who generally follow the mold for their typical characters (like Jack McBrayer and Max Greenfield, among many others). I wasn't looking for a message or to be educated or to take some huge point home - I wanted to giggle for an hour or two and it was very successful at that. Admittedly, the one who seemed to have the hardest time landing jokes was Seinfeld himself, but otherwise it was a good time.

If you Ever wonder why these restaurants are so special
I did that title intentionally! This was shot at Ever, in Chicago. They took some liberty with the plot - it only opened 3 years ago and immediately got two Michelin stars (not three, though the chef and manager previously had three stars at another restaurant). I was fortunate enough to have been there in 2021 and they showed on this episode the real dishes! I've also been to Alinea and Single Thread.
Why would someone spend that kind of money for food you may ask. Because the food is amazing in taste and presentation. But above that, at these 3 restaurants, for a few hours, I and my guests felt like we were the only people on earth. This episode absolutely made that shine through (and it comes up in the season finale). An excellent episode to show what Carmy is trying to do, that provides important context to his character and the story line!

Reference to Shelly Long
It took me a while, but Woody makes a joke at the drive in that's a shot at Shelly Long. Listen for it!

If you love Lilith (Bebe Neuwirth)
I've just binge watched every episode up to this one, and if you love Lilith's character and Bebe Neuwirth's acting, this will be your favorite episode. She has more lines and screen time in this episode than any other, and is fantastic!
The Morning Show (2019)
OMG
This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review here. I like lots of shows, but this is unbelievable. The nuances of showing all the sides of a story is fantastically handled. And Jennifer Aniston is a national treasure in this. Completely captivating and will have you thinking for a long time.
