Muppets Now (2020)
Not really the muppets.
This is just sad. I strongly dislike the mannerisms and voices of the muppets. the RuPaul segment was cute and wholesome, but the rest was quite corny and not the muppets we all know and love. It would be much nicer to have the original muppet show on Disney+.
Chuck (2007)
Almost Perfect...
I absolutely love the show, and genuinely found it funny, also, the character arcs and storylines were satisfying. But, it was very unrealistic in its depictions of everyday women. In which every female character was slender and usually over 5"7, other than Anna, who was portrayed as a scantily-clad prostitute type. It made me feel mildly uncomfortable about being a female, so I wouldn't let younger children (or even preteens) view the show. Otherwise, if that sort of thing doesn't bother you, then I absolutely suggest you watch this show.
The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia (2020)
Why though?
Is netflix adding reviews to their own show? Why does show have 10 star ratings??? How come that everytime netflix tries to make a empowering female-led tv show that the "super-smart" girl is foolish, boy crazy, and goofy? I was disappointed by the get-go and wished netflix would stop making stale sitcoms with weak leads about girls getting their first kiss :(
Stranger Things (2016)
Almost...
In short:
Season 1: Fantastic!!
Season 2: ehh.. Kinda weird.. But still good.
Season 3: Holy Mother Of Heck...
Starting off, the show and actors were definitely crowd-pleasers. As the show went on it was plain to see that it took on a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" type of maturing such as the show became darker, more violent, more graphic and more matured storylines, assuming that the viewers would mature along with them. And, eh, it would take a lot to get to a "Stranger Things: Season 3" level of maturity.
Mostly in part of the cult-like mind-infected suicide, mild adultery themes, language and main character deaths. This is just a warning, though, because the show is still clever and intriguing.
R. I. P. Alexei, Hopper and Billy.
Anne (2017)
Nice at first...
Season 1 was beautiful and different and thoroughly enjoyable. But as the series went on, it drifted quite a bit of ways from the books and quickly became propaganda.
After seeing season one, I looked forward to watching season two. Then when I started watching season two, it lost the charm that enticed me to watch it and felt like I was watching an abuse story that a liberal Millennial wrote.
Summary:
Season 1: Beautiful, just beautiful.
Season 2: abuse story with LOTS of propaganda
Why they chose to do this, we may never know. My only hope is that they won't destroy season three.
Creed II (2018)
Perfect
I absolutely loved it. The themes were convincing and relatable. And the antagonists had depth and actual drive and emotion.
Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life (2016)
Grew on me
Enjoyed it when I first saw it. Then watched it later and highly enjoyed it.
Ender's Game (2013)
Needed a Sequel
I personally thought the movie was a bit slow. The acting was wonderful and believable, and the storyline was very enticing and didn't disappoint. But, the ending seemed like it was pointing to a possible sequel. But it's been quite a while, and a closing story seems highly unlikely.
All in all, the movie was a good watch and was refreshing break from all of the overly action-packed sci-fi movies.
