Nanook of the North (1922)
Adaptability and white landscape
18 March 2023 - 1 out of 1 users found this review helpful.
Igloos as home, the daily life of the hunting and infinitely snowy landscapes is what Robert Flaherty shows us in 1922, in the first documentary, in the history of cinema.
"Nanook of the North" could be taken as a register of an extinct way of living in our days.
One of the best approaches to the primitive man. The simplicity simultaneously with dexterity of only counting with the nature.
Frozen landscapes, team hunts, the kayak as a tool for movement.
'Nanook' allows us to think about the adaptability of the human being and question ourselves: how to survive everyday to an extreme cold condition.
