Hollow Point (2019)
Whaaaaat?
I cannot believe the bad reviews on this film, it's brilliant. All the critics saying bad acting, script, predictable etc. Eh, no, quite the opposite actually.
The only predictable thing about it being predictable is that it's a revenge movie, duh!
Watch it. ;)
El hoyo (2019)
A 7 for sensational.
Incredible acting, scenes, photography, concept, but I'm going to keep this short by saying it was brilliant, and the spoiler, the end. The end was really disappointing, it explained nothing or if it did I missed something along the way, and for that reason I may watch it again.
It also urged me to finally read Don Quixote. ;)
Replicas (2018)
I'm giving this a ten because it's so stupid.
And I'm so stupid to have watched it but it was compelling in a sense, if you're out of your biscuit watching it. If you want to watch a ridiculous Film ever this is it.
You go from, cool concept to eh, to ehhh, to wtf, to ah fk this is nuts.
Great fun. :)
Kong: Skull Island (2017)
Apocalypse now meets Jurassic Park on Gulliver'a travels, or something like that.
Hilarious Film. I wouldn't call it a re-make though, an original loosely based an old tale. I thought it was going to be another re-make with more effects or something but haha, I wasn't expecting that. Great fun. :)
Expo (2019)
No rating for this one.
I guessed from the start that a Ginga with a beard and a Belly wasn't going to be any Rambo.
If you give this more that half an hour of a watch, you need help. :))
Hunter Killer (2018)
We've got a leak!
Not a spoiler title if you like the Submarine genre. Predictable-ish good Film, but a lot of old clichés, Sardines in a Tin, we'll be crushed like a Beer Can etc, otherwise, don't mind me, well worth a watch. :)
The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017)
Protect a witness and get him to Court alive haha. Right.
Oldest plot out there but this had me smiling and laughing from start to Fin. Bond, Bourne, Die hard, never stop action and funny dialogue with Samuel and Ryan, just great together.
I'm definitely going to watch it again.
The Revenant (2015)
I'm surprised at the negative comments.
I haven't seen this before tonight on TV (damn ads) and wow that was something else. The cinematography is exceptional and it's that scenery that keeps the action flowing, and the acting was so real it brought me right into the Film.
I don't comment here often because I'm a man of few words but sometimes I'm compelled to say something after seeing this.
All in all I gave it a ten because I can't really fault it.
Check Point (2017)
Em.
I'm nearing 60 years of age and I've seen them all, but THAT thing I just watched has gotta by far be the worst piece of garbage ever screened. A few plastic toy guns, rip off and re-render game clips, a couple of meathead wrestlers and a couple of pairs of fake tits. If that's what you're into, off you go. I gave this a 1 star rating but I didn't mean to.
