Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
I had a free ticket and nothing else to see
I was never a fan of the Indiana Jones movies, I watched them some were entertaining some not so much, I got a free ticket to use on any movie and there was nothing else so I went to see this.
First problem for this movie, I was in a London cinema and there were at max 20 people o a Sunday at this showing, compared to other movies it was a wasteland.
I will be honest, Harrison Ford is old, maybe too old for this kind of movie, but he was trying his best and I appreciate his effort.
Too bad that the female lead had no redeeming qualities, I tried to ignore her but she got more obnoxious in each and every scene she was present, I first thought that the writers intentionally made her character insufferable then I checked the news and she was one of the writers for her character, so basically she made herself insufferable. I never understood why people just don't respect and threat their seniors with understanding and good will.
Look if you want to see it go see it, will you feel happy at the end ? Probably not. Is it worth the money for the ticket ? No probably not.
Two and a Half Men (2003)
Watching this show in 2023
I am watching this show for the first time and I do it while doing my cardio training daily, I enjoyed a good laugh for 8 seasons... than I tried to watch it past the Charley Sheen exit, but in 10 episodes I barely laughed 4-6 times at it was barely a heh.
I am not a fan of Charley Sheen, for me he is the personification of everything bad in Holly Wood but you can't deny he had charisma and like it or not his acting and delivery can make you laugh and I did laugh a lot of times in the first 8 seasons.
Now Ashton Kutcher was probably the worst choice for a replacement, the role itself makes no sense he is a rich 30 that is some kind of savant programmer with the mentality of a child but he was smarter then everybody at MIT...
The humor is crude and somehow all the past their prime cast is now drooling over this guy just because he is rich young and is gifted by nature, basically Charlie but with the mental age of a child ... which makes it the whole show creepy.
Also they missed the opportunity to grow Jake and show that despite the bad role models he actually gets motivated and surpasses his family.... wrong he is still the fart joke and failure in school... really ?
Queen Cleopatra (2023)
Revisionism is a bad sign for humanity
The problem with this show is that this is not fantasy they claim it is a documentary, and they manage to spin historical facts with classic revisionism.
This will make some kids and future generations that watch this series think that scientists got it wrong and some americans know better the history of another country.
This show is an insult to history and will create generations of young adults and kids that have a distorted view of history and reality.
Americans should stop making documentaries about other country history, and they should check their own history, this is an insult to Egypt, and insult to Europe, and insult to Greece, and insult to historians, an insult to scientists and all to please a certain group in US.
See (2019)
A lot of consistency problems, watched it because Jason Momoa
So well it is a tv show, and they are allowed to stretch things a little but come on we now have future tellers, people that read the wind for probably miles, blind people that walk in a forest better than me, most of the time they behave like they can see which is a bit annoying immersion is broken every other minute,
They build a complex bad CGI wall how tf did they build that, like really, in a world of blind a lot of their building and roads are damn straight and perfect like how people that see still make them crooked.
For a post apocalyptic world this feels like they forgot the history of the previous world and just went with some religious plot and people that pray while doing it well that made me almost TU.
Now let's talk about the culture, well race mixing is totally ok considering you can't see a darn thing, but still seems like people are still white black and the kids are biracial from a white mom, well seems like those hundreds of years of actually blind people not seeing skin color still kept their skin color pretty white or black.
Could have been a really good story if they kept it real, like crocked hats or houses actually making it seem like it was built by blind people, can't take this serious at all.
