Kodoku: Mîtobôru mashin (2017)
INSANITY CAN BE BEAUTIFUL
Lead actor Yoji Tanaka (Yuji Noda) brings it, his character has had it with being scammed by coworkers, family & a possible love interest. Watching Yoji's daily life was engaging, highlighting Japanese culture in over the top but hilarious scenes. Ok, Eihi Shiina has a few cameos in this early on, it was awesome.
When crap hits the fan, things really progress, there is some outer space shenanigans, a forced quarantine zone, gallons of Nishimura-san's iconic blood geysers and boobs! This long awaited sequel won me over, the visual barrage of insanity was a beautiful thing, the droplets of crimson became infinity, I couldn't stop watching. The ending was a low blow but yet a calculated liver shot, who knows? I was happy.

Vampires vs. the Bronx (2020)
Lost Boys in NYC
While this film is reminiscent of the Lost Boys, The Bronx, New York City setting is what really sets it apart. Light on the horror but delivers with lots of charm.
Chi o sû nendo (2017)
KILLER CLAY CRAVES BLOOD!
Just watched Vampire Clay (2017) directed by Soichi Umezawa. This film was an extremely nice surprise consisting of a group of art students being consumed by a killer clay that craves blood. The practical fx and prop work are a major standout and the overall pace of the film is brisk, to the point and an overall fun time.
Poruno jidaigeki: Bôhachi bushidô (1973)

Shiro is granted temporary immunity from the government but as his body count escalates every one is after his head including his own clan.
This film is gorgeously shot with empathize on a variety of color tones and spectacular wide angle shots when swordplay is initiated. The female nudity is plentiful and beautifully captured filling the screen with a lethal dose of sensual atmosphere and mean spirited sleaze.
The final act is an opium induced orgy that transcends into an epic final showdown that features dismemberments and blood geysers aplenty!
Bliss (2019)
A BLOOD SOAKED ACID TRIP
Just watched Bliss (2019) directed by Joe Begos, one of the most unique films in the vampire genre that I have ever seen. From the dizzying camera shots and edits, to the acid trip fueled gritty atmosphere accented by blood and gore. It equals to a masterfully crafted demented drug induced cinematic experience you should definitely sink your teeth into.
37 Seconds (2019)
An amazing experience
Just watched 37 Seconds (2019) directed by Hikari and I was completely blown away. Yuma is an aspiring manga artist with cerebral palsy dealing with a coworker who is taking advantage of her and an over protective mother. This film does an amazing job taking you on her journey of self discovery as she cuts the cords to those who are keeping her down.
Blade (2011)
Silver & Blood
Set in various locales of South East Asia and Japan, Blade does what he does best in bloody fashion with a familiar cast of characters and new ones. The artwork by MADHOUSE studios is amazing and is highlighted Warren Ellis & Kenta Fukasaku's storytelling that never captures a dull moment.
The Hart-Break Killer (2019)
Cheese & Sleaze
It's refreshing to see Sean Donohue attempt something different from the rest of his horror fueled filmography and The Hart-Break Killer doesn't disappoint. This dark comedy balances psychological horror and tongue in cheek humor well and the dash of sleaze adds a nice touch to the overall film. Lead actor Eigh8t the Chosen One is the highlight, his acting isn't too over the top and makes his nerdy character Robert believable and someone you can root for.
Plook mun kuen ma kah 4 (1994)
Invincible Zombie
A voodoo priest promising immortality by drinking an elixir is caught actually selling his believers poison and local villagers exact retribution via machetes. The voodoo priest thought dead returns five years later with the aid of an invincible zombie (Panna Rittikrai) taking all opposition out with his martial arts and various weapons. The action in Spirited Killer (1994) is cheesy fun, bloody at times and is highlighted by a great fight sequence featuring a young Tony Jaa in a small role.
Velluto nero (1976)
Atmospheric with a dash of sleaze
Laura Gemser steals the show as you would expect. Key scenes include her being forced to model naked next to roadkill, modeling on top of a humongous mound of camel dung and towards the end she indulges in drinking the blood of a baby goat she stabbed to death while being hypnotized. Overall the sleaze is moderate but the Egyptian atmosphere is mesmerizing and engulfs you in its desert wasteland and also wows you by including ancient Egyptian sites like the Abu Simbel temples at the end of the film. The soundtrack is amazing and the small cast is filled with off beat, deprived and eccentric characters but in all the story just feels a bit lacking.
The Night Comes for Us (2018)
Balls to the wall violent action!
Fans of ultra violent action flicks won't be disappointed in this blood soaked ass kicker of a film! While the plot is average the fight scenes will keep you engaged as each battle escalates in topping the blood bath before. Julie Estelle loyalist will be blown away by her bullet riddled scenes and Iko Uwais does what he does best via punches and kicks.
