Your Honor (2020)
Breaking Bad with suit
A protagonist who slowly falls into a moral debacle, while trying to sustain his relationship with a stupid son and struggle with the moral rigidity of his female partner. All of this while tries to beat a wealthy, sophisticated and heartless mobster. Spiced with emotional manipulations and lies that allow her to keep "his business" from him. I am not describing Breaking Bad. I'm talking about Your Honor. The same show with different clothes. Not for that, that's bad. Conversely. It is well directed, well acted and has a well written script. Ah! One last "coincidence": The final scene leaves a bitter taste, which is not up to the standard of the series.
The Undoing (2020)
Why?
An interesting and well-constructed series, made for the viewer to wonder about their own veracity biases. The only question that was left nagging is that Grace could have turned her husband over long before the trial and without her having to testify.
El marginal (2016)
A masterpiece, except for...
Except for Gusman's lousy performance. Remember Skyler in Breaking bad? the character was insufferable, but she is a great actress. However, in this case we have neither actress nor character. Emma's character spends crying and suffering throughout the three seasons, contributing absolutely nothing to the main story. Its only objective is to lengthen each chapter so that they last 50 minutes. On the other hand, Gusmán is such a bad actress, that one wonders who put her in the series ... do they owe her a favor? Fortunately, you can advance the scenes where it appears. Do it, you won't miss out on anything but a lousy performance.
