I was a big time professional wrestling fan years before 2000, and somehow I never heard of this Marcus Bagwell movie until recently. I was hoping there was more of him in the movie. I only kept watching it for one reason, well, maybe two reasons. ;) It's amazing how many people you see these days that have passed away when they were young, e.g. Julie Strain. It just shows you that you need to enjoy your live as long as you are here because you never know when something may happen and those who love you will be missing you. There was some action and other interests in this movie, but it is definitely a B movie, maybe a C movie.
This movie is one of those I particularly love - what would I do if I was in that situation? We follow the protagonist after a car crash and what to do. Do we go to the police? Go to the US Embassy? Who can we trust? It is not difficult to put yourself into the leading actor's shoes and trying to find those answers as the movie goes along. Some people said the movie is a little slow but you have to put yourself as the person experiencing that and what do you do? It takes a little time to think what the next move will be and in the end even though some things may be a little unrealistic, one can certainly see why things transpired the way they did. Definitely worth a watch.
This was a perfect continuation of the Monk TV series. Anybody who was a fan of the TV show will love this movie. Shows like this are very far and few between these days. After watching it, it reminded me of the beauty of a crime drama with the perfect blend of humor along with it to make the story interesting and the viewer engaged. I was unaware they were making this movie but I am hoping there will be many more because they don't make them like this anymore. It's a nice family show/movie that will keep the entire family entertained. The characters all work well together and that's what also makes the environment work. Enjoy!
