Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Enemies (1999)
A play on emotions
When Faith and the mayor plotted to take away Angel's soul, I thought not again, poor Angel has been through so much already but towards the end of the episode when Angel said, "Second best actor", it revealed that he had been faking his lost of humanity all along.
This episode was a very good play on emotions, it really had me fooled about Angel and I thoroughly enjoyed David Boreanaz's acting in this episode.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Becoming: Part 2 (1998)
Cuts like a knife
The ending was absolutely heartbreaking.
I had been rooting for the Scooby gang to restore Angel's soul the moment he lost it, and although it was interesting to see Angel turn to the dark side, I missed the moments of intimacy and longing between him and Buffy.
The last scene was heart-wrenching to watch.
Angel's last words before he got sucked into the portal of Hell, "Buffy?" made me bawl.
An amazing episode.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Beauty and the Beasts (1998)
Buffy and Angel
That last scene when Angel remembers Buffy was incredibly satisfying. I'm glad they didn't drag out their reconciliation, considering how painful the ending of season 2 was.
