Entergalactic (2022)

Cliche story telling with beautiful animation...sprinkled with racism

I've been a fan of Kid Cudi since A Kid Named Scott, so when I heard about this movie/album I was pumped. The music is good and atmospheric, the animation was awesome to watch and felt like you were in the film but one line has stuck with me and left a bad taste in my mouth. When Meadow said she doesn't date white guys because they look all the same. The blatant double standard and racism was insane to hear and to not see anyone on social media say anything about it was mind blowing. Cudi has always been inclusive in his music and to hear that one line in his movie really surprised me. Imagine if a white man said that about any woman group. He'd be labeled a racist and "cancelled" so fast but it's fine when the racism is flipped, especially when it's a woman. The best thing about this movie was the visuals and music. Everything else was cliche!

I saw the first episode and thought it was good with some eye roll moments. I haven't seen the second episode yet but looking at the reviews, it's surprising. I agree, Marvel is just spitting shows out that feel cheap. If these shows came out on their own and not on Disney+, the reviews would be even worse. The quality has slowly dropped since WandaVision, Loki and Captain America and the Winter Soilder. Feels like Marvel and Disney are shooting themselves in the foot with how many shows/movies they are trying to make in a short amount of time. The quality is slowly going down due to their demands for graphic artists and it's showing. Maybe Marvel should keep characters merged into a show with other main characters instead of introducing them in the first season and then giving them their own spin off. Condense the storyline and streamline it enough but keep in key details. Trying to stuff so many backstories for these many characters is already starting to fail.

Ghosts of War (2020)

Uh...what?

This movie had my attention for the first 2/3 but I hated when the ghost started glitching and the soldier woke up in a lab. Felt like they were trying to hard for a twist.
