Is everything I wanted of the sequel and MORE
8 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I love a lot the original film (Is one of my favorites of all times), and I was excited they were gonna make a sequel in the moment I saw the ending of the first one. And after 5 years of waiting, It was not disappointing. I went so happy to see that this is the sequel I wanted to see and more. There's a lot of things that I love of this one: The story, the animation, the unexpected plot twists, the relationship between Emmet and Lucy, the fact that this movie is about both (While the first one was about Emmet), the jokes, the heartwarming moments, the dramatic tension of the film, how Emmet learns to grow up and Lucy how to be more soft, how it conects with Finn (The boy of the first one) and her sister and some other surprises that it left me laughing and droping my jaw down with some shocking moments. I would say, not all the jokes works in this one (There are some dumb jokes that are obviously made for the kids), but this is the sequel I was waiting to see all those five years Is not necessarily better than the first one, I would say, this one is at par with the original, and is an improvement over the last two movies we got in 2017 (The LEGO Batman is still pretty good, while Lego Ninjago is the weakest of the franchise). I really want to see a third one with taking the idea of the boy grown up and not being interested with playing Legos anymore and how it would affect this to the characters and the world they build up. But for now on, this one is just awesome. Maybe I will watching this one again in theaters.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is.... meh
27 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Like everybody in the world, I hate Teen Titans Go! Not because the characters are idiots or is nothing like the comics or the 2003 show that it's still good at this day, but I rather hate it 'cuz there's no plot or likable characters in the show, and all they do is just telling jokes. The show doesn't even care if you hate it, they're gonna tell jokes until Cartoon Network decides to cancel the show. And even if there's one or two funny jokes in the show, it's still a horrible reboot. However, when it comes to the movie, I was already getting to hate it for the same reasons. But, I watched it in the theater for the same reasons I did whit MLP the movie (Support 2D animation). And to be honest.... the movies is actually better than the show, but it still not good. Before you can click in the button "No" in the "Was this review helpful?" Let's say what I didn't like of the movie. Again the "Fart, Poop, Butt" jokes thread are not funny. They're times when they used that in the movie and is just annoying and embarrassing to the viewer. I'm not even fan of the toilet humor, and I have seen a lot of comedies using that, and they still don't get it that using those jokes are NOT funny. There's also jokes where I just couldn't roll my eyes of how long they were. The characters are mediocre. Even if they're not that awful like in the show are, they're still not that great. Even the villain Slade, is not a great villain but he's not awful, he's just not great. All the musical sequences they have in this movie are a waste of time. They got even some different animation in some of them, but it still not fun to watch. It's almost like this movie was about to be an animated musical superhero comedy. Also, the plot twist of the villain isn't surprising if you read the comics, and his plan is just taking all the control of the world is cliche just like the story. Finally, the animation background is kinda cheep. What do I mean? They use a real blue sky in the background instead of animated like other backgrounds and it looks cheep every time I see that. Now, there's anything I like about this film? Actually yes. I did laugh 50% of the time of the film. And that's probably because I found jokes that they're funny. There's a cameo of Stan Lee who appears twice in this movie and is hilarious. Also, every joke of Raven about Portals is hilarious. And also another cameo, which I won't spoiled, but I laughed so hard whit my bro watching this, we both agree it was the best joke in the movie. The animation is... OK. It doesn't look awful like last year Emoshit Movie, but as a 2D animated movie, it doesn't look bad. The battle scenes are quite creative when it comes of the Titans fighting whit a bad guy or whit Slade, they're kinda fun. The voice acting is really good. Like most of animated movies based on cartoons they got the original actors to play the roles of each of the main character (Not like LEGO Ninjago that are replaced whit famous celebrities whit an really bad screenplay), and Kristen Bell and Will Arnett they do a good job. Finally, this movie actually takes it seriously. For the writers and directors who made this choice, I applause to them 'cuz they understood well that in a movie, they should make some serous emotional moments. There's even a scene when the Titans leaves alone Robin in other of making his own movie, and Starfire before his leaves, she hugs him and wish him luck. That was, the most surprising thing that this movie could ever made, and it was kinda cute. Overall, the movie is not bad as I thought it was gonna be, but it doesn't make the film an Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Feature. I can only recommend this if you're a TTGO fan or if you're interesting to watch a DC animated comedic film that's better than the DC Cinematic Universe. For everyone else, you can just skip the movie and you're not gonna miss much. Again, not a great film, but at least it wasn't awful what I thought it was gonna be. 5/10.

Not a shamless experince (Not even make me a brony) but, Eh, it's a Ok Movie
14 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I haven't seen the series until 2 weeks before the movie came up. When it was announced, I had my complains since I never watch the show. Until a friend of my recommend me the series, I watch it and I absolutely like it for the way the make the story, the time line, the characters, the animation, the humor, the song, is a good series after all. And I was expecting the same whit the movie and... is just OK. Nothing great, nothing bad, just OK.

Let's say the bad things: The writing is bad. Not as bad as Emoji Movie or The Star, or even LEGO Ninjago, just bad. What do I mean? The movie can be predictable and cliche. And that's a issue that even the series suffer. It has cliches like "The layer reveled", "The queen who doesn't help", "The main character using their friends for distraction so he/she can do something wrong" and "The main villain reveling he lied to somebody by using to do something and saying he won't do what he made". And maybe if they make fun of them, that would be fine, but they literally said what everything has said already. Another issue is some of the characters, like Micheal Peña voices Grubber, Tempest sidekick who doesn't do anything in the movie other than be whit Tempest and saying lame jokes about cakes and The Storm King, a sinister and stupid villain that wants to be funny and scary at the time and both failing whit some lame quotes and only appearing a little in the second act and giving him a main role in the climax. There are some jokes that are not funny apart of the jokes of the characters that I don't like. Like there's a joke referencing a game called "Hungry, Hungry, Hippos". Some characters are even pointless since they don't do anything like the princesses and some could be more helpful like Discord or Starlight or Quibble Pants. And finally, Twilight. I do not hate this character, I think she's decent in here since she's interesting and funny, but she doesn't have any development whit the new characters apart of Tempest in the end. She barley interacts whit them and that's it, she doesn't have any message or scene that discovers that she was wrong and apologies whit the new characters other than the Mane 5 and Spike. And in the end, you see Twilight whit the new characters and the movie makes you believe that they're friends, but I'm sorry, if there is not development, there is not friendship. Even more when she is literally THE PRINCESS OF FRIENDSHIP.

OK, you might think that I hate this movie. Well, I don't. Like I said, is an OK film. I have seen this in theaters and the experience was OK, nothing remembering or shameless. I went whit my twin brother (Who has seen some episodes of the series and want it to watch this so he can't stop of watching CGI in animation for a while) and there were a few people out there, like 5 or 6 persons. To give it credit, it is funny actually. Not as hilarious as the series, but it is funny. There's a joke in the climax that made me laugh so hard that everyone in the theater also laugh hard, even my twin brother. The songs are pretty catchy and fun to hear like "We got this together", "Time to be awesome", "Open up your eyes" and "Off to see the world". It's a fun musical, but no the best. The animation is beautiful to look at it. The colors, the sets, the character animation, the movements, it has CGI fake in the backgrounds but they weren't annoying. Most of the characters are fun, even Twilight and some of the new are nice like Tempest, Capper and the pirates. The best parts of the movie are whit Rainbow Dash and Spike, and even Rarity, they made me laugh a lot. In the series, they are interesting characters, and here they're funny as hell giving some of the best lines in the film and every scene when they talk (Even Spike, the best character of the series) it was so good to hea. The score made by Daniel Ingram is pretty good, I wish there's a score for hearing it all. The voice acting is great. The climax is fine. And this movie brings back what Walt Disney Pictures use to do. Maybe if this was released in the 80's I would forgive it, but since it released in 2017, there's nothing to said other than find his issues on his second act and the fact that this could be better.

So overall, the movie is fine. It's an OK film that bronys and pegasisters will love to death, it manages what they want, some of the fans can be disappointing, it depends of their opinions. Maybe if the writing was more funny and creative and less predictable and cliche, this could be a good movie, maybe a better one. But I know the director had fun, the writers had fun, everyone who made the film had fun, so I won't step back and said they ruined, it could be a lot worse. Maybe I was expecting more of it, but at least is not disappointing like the LEGO Ninjago Movie. If you had a girl or girls in general, they might love this movie, more if they're fans of the franchise. For everyone who hates My Little Pony, they're not force to look this as a obligated film to watch. For everyone else, if they're interest in it, I said go and check first the series made by Lauren Faust so you can understand the world and the characters for it. 6/10.

Despicable Me 3 is fun as hell
2 July 2017
¿Is the best movie of Illumination? No ¿Is better than Despicable Me 2 and Minions? Yes. In terms or the writing is not 100% perfect because it can have mistakes like the unnecessary sub plot of Margo or Agnes, and some jokes are not really funny. But the writers Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul really knows who to respect the original movie and the sequel. The characters are still the same, the villain is probably the best of the franchise, the Minions (Even know they don't appear much in the film) still have his funny moments (And even some emotional moments), the music of Pharrell Williams and Heitor Pediera is fine and the animation gets better every movie of Ilumination. So yeah, i'ts a good movie and fun to watch. Not the best for the franchise, but yet, is better than DM2 and the Minions Spin Off. I really enjoy Despicable Me 3. If you are a Illumination fan or a fan for the franchise, you can watch this and enjoy it. If you are tired for the Minions and the franchise, you don't necessary need to watch it. Just let's hope don't make DM4 that would be unnecessary.

Moana (I) (2016)
7/10
Moana is good, nothing great, nothing bad, just good
15 February 2017
I was interested in seeing Moana already for the concept and that it is directed by one of my favorite directors Ron Clements and John Musker who give me movies that i loved like Treasure Planet and Aladdin. And when i saw it, it didn't disappoint me. The best thing is the animation. Is the most beautiful animation i ever seen in a Disney movie. The water, the characters designs and Moana expressions are the most watchable thing i ever see. The characters are decent expect Moana and Maui who i think are the most likable. Moana as a character is so pretty, more that the rest of Disney Princess. Maui is a little bit annoying in the beginning, but then he most likable in the rest of the film and it has some of the funniest lines in the movie. The movie has more jokes that in any Disney princess movies and sometime is hilarious. The songs are good, 3 of them are fantastic and the rest are OK or unnecessary in the film. And the last good thing in the film are the voice cast who the most part is phenomenal. Auli'i Cravalho as his first role is so beautiful and fantastic that who she did the voice of Moana and Dwayne Johnson is funny as Maui. But the film has some troubles in the writing like some clichés or conveniences that happens in the film. Some jokes are not funny when is gross humor. And the crab villain is not funny or interesting and makes the movie boring. And some of the song are unnecessary. But overall, Moana is better movie that Frozen o Tangled in respect of characters or writing. Is not better that Zootopia, but is enjoyable for everyone.

Kubo and the Two Strings, a great journey in Stop Motion
15 February 2017
I wasn't going to see this movie because it didn't give me the attention to me. But my brother who is a Laika fan, he begged me to see it with him. So, i saw this with my mom and my brother, and i really enjoy it. This is by far the best Laika movie that i saw, twice. The writing of this movie is really brilliant and the dialog is mostly good or memorable. The characters are all likable and some of them are funny like the three main protagonists. The villains are most scary and interesting. The movie also has a lot of funny moments, especially with Beetle or Monkey. All the voice actors makes a great job even they aren't Chinese or Japanese people. Like Art Parkinson, Charlize Theron, Matthew McConaughey and Ralph Fiennes. The animation is fantastic, every detail or character design is just phenomenal. The score is also fantastic and the Japanese culture is fantastic and they don't modernize nothing. My only problem is the defeat of the villain, The King Moon. Which the scene i feel a little bit fast like Trumper's defeat of Shaun the Sheep Movie. I don't know if it was the writing or the edition, but it was something that i feel fast of that. But overall, Kubo and the Two Strings is a fantastic film. I wasn't expected to say that but Kubo even is not the Best Animated Film of this year, i think is the second best and the Best of Laika which give us.

Kung Fu Panda 3 is a really good movie and a good ending of the franchise
15 February 2017
I'm a lover of the Kung Fu Panda movies since i was 8 years old. The first one is a really great movie. In that moment, i couldn't see the movie in theaters because my parents were busy in that moment, so i saw on DVD. The second one I achieved see in the theater in 3D with my family and it was amazing. The best of the franchise. And when i heard about the third one and saw the trailers, i was really excited because they past 5 years after the last one. I also saw with my family in 3D, and i really enjoy it. First let's talk about the animation, that is probably the best one in the franchise. All the colors, the characters designs, the scenarios, the action scenes, everything is fantastic in the animation. The humor is effective and it got some hilarious moments. The voice cast is really well done with talent voices of Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, James Hong, J.K Simmons, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie and others makes the movie a really watchable time. The story is interesting and great to see a continuation of the second one in stated to reap it the same movie. The score of Hans Zimmer is beautiful as always and makes the action scenes and the emotional moments effective and fun. And the last good thing about the movie are the characters, they are really likable and they still being the same characters as we know it. My favorite character of the franchise is probably is Mr. Ping. Unfortunately, the movie has some defects. The biggest problem of the movie is that even is that funny, there are jokes that don't make me laugh like the testicle joke or when the same jokes of the movie are repeated, and sometimes make me think why they try to be the most funny movie of all like Shrek the Third did. Not even that the tone of the movie although it is not bad,it sometimes want to be Kung Fu Panda 1 for some of the jokes you have. And the last problem with the movie is its villain. Kai is not a very powerful or frighting villain like Lord Shen or Tai Long. It has some funny moments, the concept of the villain is really great, the design is fantastic and J.K. Simmons dose a great job, but his is the most weakest villain of the franchise. So yeah, this movie has been throwing by people calling the best of Kung Fu Panda series, the worst of the series or the weakest of the series. And yeah, I would lie if I said that this is the weakest one. But for the other hand, is better than Shrek the Third respect in the writing and humor. It's a shame that this couldn't have the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature because it could be great if Kung Fu Panda were the first trilogy in be nominated in that category. But, i think that the Kung Fu Panda franchise is the best franchise that Dreamworks give us. Kung Fu Panda 3 even is not the best one in the franchise is a really good sequel which knows that who to end and not be another shity franchise like Ice Age or The Land before Time.

Sausage Party (2016)

Sausage Party, nothing great from Seth Rogen but is just good
15 February 2017
I wasn't excited for this movie because i'm not for see a lot of R animated movies. But even i saw it, i liked it. There's a really fight between this movie if is good or terrible. The first thing of Sausage Party that the best of this movie is the voice cast of the movie who makes a great job in the voices of the characters like Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Nick Kroll, Micheal Cera, Jonan Hill, Edward Norton and others. The movie has some likable characters like Frank, Brenda, Barry and the villain Douche who has some of the most funniest moments of the film. The humor is a miss or hit. Sometime it can get hilarious moments, some others a funny moments and sometime really bad bad jokes like Kristin Wiig improvisation or so many insults. The score and the song "The Great Beyond" is great and they do have some of the best themes that i ever heard. And the last good thing of this movies are some thing of the animation like some of the takes are really good, some of the designs are decent and the backgrounds are great. But, it doesn't mean that everything of this movie is great, it has some problems. The animation is one of those. Even that is not the worst animation of all, the designs of the humans and the rest of the products are terrible. The jokes like i say, sometimes fail and when they are not funny, they suck. And all the orgy scene was the most boring scene of the movie. Is not funny or interesting so it doesn't have a purpose to be in the movie. So yeah, Sausage Party is not the best animated film of all, but is just good. I hope the animators get some justice for the idiot director Greg Tiernan who his role as a director of this one is terrible. Conrad Vernon makes a better job that him. For those who are interesting in this, i tell you that this is good for you if you are more that 16 years old to see this. For those who think is a kids film, don't be so idiots. This is a RATED R Movie. So don't show this for your kids until they have 16 years.

Scrat: Spaced Out (2016 Video)
3/10
This should be called Scrat: F*ck Out
29 December 2016
¿A 14 Mini Movie minute about Scrat? How stupid can be. This is not a Mini Movie, is a clip comparison of ALL THE SCENES OF SCRAT of Ice Age: Collision Course. Including some deleted scenes animated. Scrat: F*ck Out (Oh, i'm sorry, "Scrat: Spaced Out"), i'ts nothing that 14 minutes waste of time. Not a single joke was funny, the story is stupid and Scrat as a character is unfunny and disappointing. Yes, the animation is good ¿And what?. This is more "Ice Age: Without the heard". It doesn't need your Attention. This is the must unfunny and unoriginal animated short of Scrat I ever seen. If your a fan, just don't watched. Just kill the franchise now.

Finding Dory (2016)

Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming...
3 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Finding Dory it's not as great as Finding Nemo, but we can agree it is a good Pixar sequel. The animation is really better then the first, the characters are OK, the voice cast was amazing, the comedy was good, but the stronger part of this film is the drama. In the movie, i cried in the part when Marlin tells Dory for her good actions in the last movie and when Dory finds her parents. This two scenes are really emotional. If i had two problems they are: 1) The movie never tells why Dory has short term memory lost, ¿It was for accident or it was for born? and 2) The song Unforgettable i end up disliked. But the movie is a really good sequel. It has some of the charm of the original and they got new things that i like. I recommend this for those ones who grow up with Finding Nemo.

Scrat, the supreme damn god of the clash of worlds and the Ice Age
27 July 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously, after all they did Is this the best they can do? The responsible directors Mike Thurmeier, Galen T. Chu and his team of lazy and stupid writers should be ashamed. They forgot that the issue should be the title is damn ICE AGE. Blue Sky seem to make sequels just for them and not for the public and which is their version of what they think happened in the GOD DAMN ICE AGE. This is everything i never want in a Ice Age sequel, the story is ridiculous and boring, the characters are very stupid and you don't care about them, the jokes are unfunny and the message is terrible, it doesn't connect with the plot. But the worst thing he did Blue Sky at this school is the Scrat character, not just what modernized, but they did a DAMN CHARACTER CARTOONIST. And instead of being the hero of the film and save the earth for bring destroyed, it becomes the supreme god of f*****g chaos, does not a d*** this character, his jokes are stupid and weird, and he has the lowest appearance in this sequel than the other sequels. I would give more importance to this character and know about his past, but we only know that Scrat makes one stupid joke. The rest of the characters are annoying and unfunny. The jokes are not effective expect of 2 pr 3 little laughs. And Ice Age: Collision Course is the worst Ice Age sequel. ¿Is there something good? Well, the animation is nice, the voice cast is decent and the score is okey. But from all the sequels they have, this is the worst. If is there going to be a sixth movie, i will kill the new makers and writers, and this is not more then sheer stupidity of children and adults. I warn you, don't expect anything great or amazing about this sequel, you will ask for their your money back.

Zootopia is the greatest movie actual of Disney could have done
21 February 2016
The actual Disney films didn't save The company to me. Frozen despite being a blockbuster, I did not like it. Big Hero 6 unsaved much. But Zootopia definitely safe. This is The first time i actually like for complete. They don't have the story of The Parents are dead, they don't have a Script cliché, They don't have ALL The Movie song in every minute, its Just a great film. The idea of a City of Animals sounds silly But what they do of this they have very clear ideas. The characters are fantastic, The Animation is fantastic, The Script is fantastic, The characters are really great and the Voice Cast shines as always. Is weird but is The first time i See a great Disney film and Not a cliché Disney film. I wasn't expecting i Was going to like this film. My only problem is the villain who it isn't very scary, i say she was a weakest villain. But overall, Zootopia is a very good film who they have a good entertaining for everyone who loves Disney or animation. This is a must watch for those who wants a better version of Chicken Little.

Shaun the Sheep Movie is a movie for Everybody
1 January 2016
Im from Argentina and i grow up with the series and when Shaun the Sheep Movie was released i was very excited. I saw the movie with my family, my twin brother already knew the series, my parents didn't know what it was and my big brother didn't know of the plot of the film, he had only seen the teaser in the cinema. In the cinema it was me, my family, a couple and another person in the background, and we laugh a lot! and after the movie ended all my family was with very positive results, most of my family believes it is excellent except my big brother who said it is good. Shaun the Sheep Movie is a movie for everybody and is another excellent and funny film from part of Aardman Animations. Yes, the story is simple but don't remember that the best animated films have simple stories?, Kung Fu Panda has a story simple, Ice Age has a story simple, Oscar winning Inside Out has a story simple and that's what great about Shaun the Sheep Movie, it has a simple story that can be followed during the 85 minutes of the film. I am also happy that there are no dialogue's because that respects the essence of the series that don't have dialogue's. I also love the characters, The relationship of Shaun and The Farmer is very solid, Trumper is a great villain, The Flock is also funny, all the characters are great. The animation Stop Motion is also great and the sets are amazing. Although didn't win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature I'm very happy that they have nominated, no matter what Inside Out is better, Shaun the Sheep Movie is officially the best animated feature of 2015. Its very funny, is cute, is emotional, it has a great soundtrack, it has great characters, in my opinion it is a masterpiece.
