Xin xi ju zhi wang (2019)
This is a movie that paid homage to all extras out there
"Not Giving Up, is all what success about"
Stephen Chow paid homage to all movie extras out there. He know what it mean to struggle as a movie extra. He was one of them before he is famous today.
Ne Zha zhi mo tong jiang shi (2019)
For me, it is more funny and enjoyable than frozen 2
I thought it is just a movie for kid, with action, and good vs bad. But I was wrong, Ne Zha isn't your usual movie hero. There are also many funny moments through out the film, kudos to the writers and animators.
Yip Man 4 (2019)
a satisfactory ending
Brought whole family to see this movie yesterday. Won't say much about story line, just that it is a good closure for this amazing series, though I have to admit they kinda recycle the story since the second one. But I still enjoy the fight scenes immensely, and I suspect that is what matter to most fans of this movie.
Abominable (2019)
way better than expected
Saw the trailer, not much impression. Went to watch it with friends, come back surprisingly entertained. The story is heartwarming, and there are plenty of funny scenes too.
Cui mian cai jue (2019)
A Bit Predictable, But Still Entertaining
I went to the cinema with family without much expectation. Since Infernal Affairs success, HK cinema has tried hard to emulate and make "smart" movies. Many become over complicated and senseless. So I had not much expectation for this when I read the synopsis. Just thought that want to have some fun with family, and fun we had. The story is actually pretty straight forward, which is a good thing.
La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano (1998)
A Hidden Gem
Picked the DVD in the local library, thinking it was a movie about a hero of a war or something. Turned out it was a drama, and a very entertaining one too. I don't usually enjoy slow paced drama, but I was glued to my tv screen watching this till end, and feel a bit emotional at the end too.
