Carrie (1976)
10/10
Great 70s horror film, even better than Exorcist!!!
20 May 2008
Oh I totally love this film!! I even drove 20 miles to buy it on DVD. I haven't watch the DVD yet, but I did saw the film on A&E Channel. De Palma, did a great job in directing this film. So totally a novel put into film. I got so fascinated with this movie that I have to keep on looking up for more references about it (even the cast) on the internet. Sissy Spacek's performance is outstanding!! I totally give her thumbs up! I like the way how Amy Irving portrays Sue Snell, oh shes so hot!! Especially in the end where she was dressed in white and visiting Carrie's burnt lot with the flowers, shes looks so pretty! Everything in this film was well-written. If I was living in the 70s and someone ask me which horror film I like, I say "Carrie"! I haven't seen The Rage: Carrie 2 yet, but I will and review it later. Anyway, good film! Highly recommended!

Turbulence (1997)
4/10
747-200 or 747-400
21 May 2005
Turbulence, it's such a stupid, pointless movie. The aircraft, a Trans Con 747-200, has the controls of a 747-400. This is a 747-200! not a 747-400. The cockpit should have gouges, switches, and a flight engineer station, rather than having computers. How can a 747 have very little passengers on a holiday? Why would the police transport a convict on a civilian airliner? I thought that convicts should be transported on a Boeing 727 (like the one they used in the film Eraser and U.S. Marshals) rather than a Boeing 747, unless there are more than 300 convicts. Why would the autopilot kill the pilot? Pretty stupid invention. I tested what would happened if a Boeing 747-200 would do if flies upside down on Flight Simulator ( by Microsoft not the real one). The 747 would lose a lot of altitude instead of flying at leveled altitude, And there is no way a 747 would have an outside viewing window in the avionics bay. Neither does it have a sliding door on the staircase to block access to the upper deck. The staircase of a 747-200 is not suppose to be straight it's suppose to be spiral styled. Even the Tower Air 747 ( the aircraft that Capt. Bowen flies while helping Teri to fly the plane ) has the same stuff like the Trans Con 747. Most of the scenes in Turbulence has been placed in films like, Turbulence 2 and 3 and Ground Control. Turbulence 2 and 3 all have something in common, and that is their destination is always LAX. I really don't like this film, but I like to keep on watching it whenever there is nothing to watch on TV.

Panic in the Skies (1996 TV Movie)
6/10
Pretty entertaining or boring, which one?
15 May 2005
Well, this movie is somewhat entertaining or boring. What's your opinion? There a lot of errors about the aircraft and a lot of other stuff. The aircraft, a Boeing 747, has a lot of errors in it. The plane would change its color from the Executive Decision livery, to plain white color, and finally red, white, and blue and with the "Royce Air" words. I don't even see any control wheel on the flight deck of the aircraft. The flight deck don't even look like the what the 747 has. As you look closely in the cockpit, you could see that the instruments are all burned up and so are the pilots. The pilots look like burnt charcoal. Why would a laptop control a 747? The oxygen masks came from the back of every seat instead of coming from the overhead. I don't know what else to say about the movie, because I haven't seen it in four years. I saw this film from the Fox Family channel before it became ABC family. Anyway, this film does kill time when you are bored.
