A British television crew is coming to town. To film a popular antiques roadshow type of thing.
It is going to be filmed in Jeremy and Judith's home. A large crowd has turned up and Jeremy already eyes a few money making opportunities.
Unfortunately Elaine, one of the antique experts is found dead. Jean's friend David (Les Dennis) another expert becomes the main suspect.
Jean needs to persuade Inspector Caron that he has the wrong man.
The show does well in under some of the shallow and vain television personalities. Although the motive for the murder really did not stand up to scrutiny.
I also thought Dom's jealousy was shallow.

The Goodies are running the Nicest Person in the World contest. David Frost places himself as a late competitor along with the likes of Julie Andrews and the Goodies themselves.
Only the Goodies find that out they are not that well liked. The public hates them and they are now wanted by the police.
As they talk to the police sergeant at the police station. Reports arrive of the Goodies being involved in more crimes all over Britain. Notwithstanding that they were at a police station when all this was happening.
Someone else is destabilising the competitors and the main suspect turns out to be Dr Petal (Patrick Troughton.)
The episode is like a demented comic strip. Troughton is a cartoonish villain. Silly and fun with the Goodies having evil doubles.

Jessica Fletcher arrives in Washington. She is met by a last minute replacement sent by her publisher.
Soon Jessica is whisked off to meet East German concert violinist Greta Mueller who is surrounded by overprotective East German minders as well as her brother Franz.
Suddenly Jessica meets British secret agent Michael Hagarty who seems to be working undercover. There is ministerial visit in Washington happening.
Later Hagarty is shot and takes Jessica and others to the British Embassy at gunpoint.
He has been working to get Franz and Greta to defect. Later another British spy is found dead at the Embassy building.
Spies and defections are the order of the day. There are some nice touches but the story just does not hang well. At least there are plenty of suspects.
