House of Cards: Chapter 73 (2018)
Failed spin off from original title!?
I didn't expect such an underwhelming final season for one of my favorite shows of all time. I think this goes onto show why series should not be overstretched. For the whole season it was as if they were trying to build Claire as it was a new season and as a new character. This season was like a stand alone failed spin off from original title.
Paradise PD (2018)
Not for the easily offended
Some of the episodes like the 3rd have extremely good burns. On a whole there are a lot of references to celebrities which are absolutely funny. People will find it either extremely funny or too far. I didn't find it boring at any point of the whole series. Hope it gets renewed for more seasons.
Breathe (2018)
After first 4 episodes
I have binged first four episodes without any break. I have no complaints except that sometimes Background score is not par with the emotions of the scene. Can't wait for the rest of the series.
The Defenders (2017)
Adding Iron Fist is a really bad idea
I like some of the fight sequences and can see where the plot was trying to go but Iron Fist really takes my interest off of the show entirely. Some times I even get to question if they really are a team? Because it feels like the relation between the main characters seem forced(Except Jessica Jones and Luke Cage). The rest of the combinations seem to be bad or in some cases worst in communication with each other.
Justice League Action (2016)
Has a lot of interesting characters
I think there are lot of characters in DC universe that do not get the spotlight that I think they deserve.By showing us new characters they are giving us a chance to explore DC Universe and some of the interesting characters in it.
This series could be a great starting point for many characters. Not just the heroes but some of the Villeins in it are very interesting if you start learning about them.I think there is scope for more characters in the future. So, I hope this series continues the good work going.
I have heard that the series is going to have 52 episodes for the 1st season. So,Can't wait to see the future episodes and future seasons.
I.T. (2016)
Acting killed the movie and plot could have been better
Acting was really bad.I personally like Pierce B Brosnan don't get me wrong. He might have acted in some of the great movies of all time. But,He didn't do justice for this character.James Frecheville was excellent in his role. But,Actors playing Regan's wife and Daughter were awful actors in their own right. This might be due to the direction of the movie.
You know this could happen in real life as well. But, if you are a millionaire and your company is worth millions of dollars then why in the name of god will you get a guy like Ed to fix your home's internet. This is just an example of how mundane the plot was. With a plot like this you can create an epic thriller movie.Which might be like a cat and mouse game. So,I cannot say anything other than I am disappointed buy the movie.
Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016)
Seen Better
I want to see more Teen Titans action but not this cast .I don't know if I am so attached to Teen Titans or Teen Titans Go! but I can't stop feeling that casts of those series did a better job than these guys and Justice League cast too.Sometimes in the movie I felt that there were some awkward pauses and they were not played well.
I like the story and effects were really good considering that this is Direct-To-Home release. The fight scenes were good too. But,I thought there were too many fight scenes and most of them were a flash.
The movie was too serious and some jokes would have helped it.I felt there were some scenes in which they tried too hard to generate comedy but failed to do that.
At the end of the day it was a good movie and I would recommend a friend to watch it.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Good but not Good enough
This is the movie that many people all around the world have been waiting for since a very long time. There were many people showing dissent against casting Ben Affleck and Jesse Eisenberg as Batman and Lex Luthor respectively.
So,let's start with them. I can understand that moving freely in Bat costume can be very tough but Ben made it look like it is tougher than carrying whole earth on his solders. Believe me when I say that action scenes were really good in the movie but I felt it was all graphics and not Affleck. His acting as Batman made some scenes look weird and made me hate DC casting directors more.
Now,Moving on to Lex Luthor played by Jesse Eisenberg. I personally like him as an actor and I like the idea of making Luthor look like a freak is kind of good but bring them both together and it was a disaster. Him touching other actors and trying to act like a mastermind clown didn't suit either him or his character. At the end it looked very stupid.
I went to the theater asking why is Batman Fighting Superman,I came out asking same question. The reason Wayne wants to fight Superman may be that Superman caused too much damage to Metropolis, and Wayne thinks a fight might make Superman and the world more cognizant of his capabilities. Or maybe it's because Wayne is still sad over his parents' deaths and experiencing some sort of hyper PTSD. Or, wait — is it because Wayne thinks everyone is too into authoritarianism to see how insane it is to trust Superman? Perhaps it's because Wayne is jealous of Superman. Or maybe he simply can't see past Lex Luthor's (Jesse Eisenberg) tricks and an ongoing media narrative that Superman is dangerous.
Henry Cavill did a decent job as Superman. But I feel like this movie has Man Of Steel written all over it .So,I think his performance is going to be over shadowed by the plot and how others performed. If this movie is going to be hit he and Gal Gadot should duly receive the credit for their performances. With a performance like this Gal Gadot made me more excited for Wonder woman and Justice League movies.
Zack Snyder,I have mixed feeling for him I don't know weather it was writers or him but some scenes were great while the others were really the crappiest scenes I have ever seen. For most most of the worst scenes were with Jesse Eisenberg and his weird portrayal of Lex Luthor.
Characters like Lois Lane played by Amy Adams or rest of Justice league characters were not part of the plot.I get the point that Justice league members might have made appearances to connect this movie to Justice League. But,There was a long drag of plot to show how the world is divided between supporting Superman and Thinking that he can destroy the world but there is no time for a great character like Lois Lane to be in the plot a bit more.
I don't want to give away anything but man that ending sucks. For me the whole movie was on one side an the disappointment with the ending was another.
