Escolinha do Professor Raimundo (2015)
One of the worst things on Brazilian television
This show is a reboot of the classic with the same name, led by the legendary Chico Anysio. Thing is, times have changed, and so did comedy. Not only have they kept the same characters, the jokes are the same, week after week. We can't even blame the actors, it's only that the scripts are terrible.
Formula 1: 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix (2008)
For sure, one of the best races in history
What would look like a regular race where Hamilton would easily take the title, sudden weather changes at the final laps have given a totally unpredictable outcome for the race.
The intensity of the final laps, the passion of the British and Brazilian commentators and the tension on Ferrari and McLaren garages made this race unforgettable for every F1 fan.
Crash Team Racing (1999)
Mario who?
When it comes to arcade racing games, people always remember Mario Kart, and I've always found it to be a huge injustice.
CTR is BY FAR the best kart videogame. The career mode actually has a fun story (despite being an arcade game) and the difficult increases through the plot, forcing the player to evolve the driving style. If you are a casual, you could just play until the final boss is defeated and you're good to go. But if you're really into the game, the side "quests" are amazing, with great challenges to unlock new tracks and characters and beating your own records (actually receiving in-game rewards for it).
The multiplayer mode is also guaranteed fun, whether it's just racing or a fun battle among up to four human players using power-ups and "kart-shooting" one another.
The shortcuts are another part of the game that makes it unpredictable, self-challenging and of course, funnier.
And for last, the boosting-drifting system is what separates this game from the others. It feels so natural to make your kart jump, powerslide through the track gaining small boost, and then a final big boost if you've done it three times in a row is so, so natural that it makes it feel that this is how real-life kart racing works.
Please, do yourself a favor and play it.
Top Gear (1992)
It is just about the music
Top Gear is a simple and fun racing videogame to spend a couple hours challenging a friend. The game is kinda repetitive and there is few sense of progress or increase in difficulty. I would give a 5 or 6 if it wouldn't for the soundtrack. Oh my, I know it is not the nostalgia talking because I still play this game regularly.
The MIDI music (specially in the intro and the first level) is one of the most beautiful thing I've ever listened to. Sometimes, I let the "Press Start" screen on for a few moments more than necessary just to listen to it.
RollerCoaster Tycoon (1999)
There are no words to describe how perfect this game is
I've always liked management and financial strategy games. When I first tried this one, I got instantly fascinated by it (even tough I couldn't understand any english back then and had no idea of what I was doing most of the time).
The thing with management and strategy games is that you get bored really quick with them. This is not the case, there are infinity possibilites for each scenario and for each ride. The only limit is the player's creativity.
The graphics are simple, but yet so beautiful that never ceases to amaze me.
The soundtrack (specially the Carousel one) will stuck in your head forever.
The scenarios are not too easy that you could play with no planning, but also not impossible, making it a fun challenge every time (seriously, I beat the first parks dozens of times, and they were all fun to play).
There are no bad things about this game. If you are a fan of the genre and have never played it, you should stop what you are doing now.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
The Last Jedi is different from all the others Star Wars movies, and this is what makes it great
This movie goes where no other on the franchise has gone it. It takes serious risks to moving on with the story of the new characters. That's the point guys. Star Wars is moving on to a new cast, and once the fans understand this, I think we will all be able to enjoy the new Star Wars.
Times are different, and so are the movies. If you were expecting to see something like the old trilogy, then why bother going to the teathers if we already have three nice ones?
I've seen some people complaining about excessive humour. Well, it does have more jokes than what was necessary, but it does not compromise the plot and character development at all.
I've already watched it twice, and in my humble opinion it is the best SW picture ever.
