Showdown in Yesteryear (2023)
Showdown in Yesteryear, well worth the wait.
Saw the movie at the Buffalo Dreams Festival in August 2022. Loved the story, I saw the short version, ' The Door ' a couple of years ago at the same Festival and the wait for the full length film was well worth it..Greg Lamberson wrote a really believable script, held your interest the whole way,and Aaron Bratcher did the directing like the pro.he is. Casting was spot on, acting was great , each character fit their role perfectly. The fight scenes were well choreographed, I thought Jeff Grennell stole the show as the bumbling cowboy, Daryl Dumwoody, he reminded me of Don Knotts at his best.! But he turned out to be the hero and found his happiness in life after being miserable before finding the door. He needed a lot of practice firing a gun !! Vernon Wells as Orson Kane was excellent, great fit. .Debra Lamb was Daryl's perfect love interest .The location was actually a cowboy town, amazing. All in all a movie worth seeing.
Attack of the Killer Shrews! (2016)
Very good
For a low budget movie this was well written, directed and edited by Niagara Falls own Ken Cosentino Some really good acting by local actors, The stunts done by and props made by Baird Hageman were unbelievable. The mine shaft alone was worth an award.also the revolving contraption where the two old guys were firing away at the shrews, hilarious! The leading lady, Elizabeth Houlihan deservedly won best local actress award at the Buffalo Dreams Festival for her role as heart throb Fiona Rae. She had everyone eating out of her hand ! Some of the scenes were wet your pants funny, my favorites were the dog and the wig and when a shrew appeared in the barber's shop ! One to buy for sure.
