terror of war

There is a woman whose husband went to war. She watches hallucination while she does house work and sleeps. Suddenly, Japanese army appears in front of her and tries to kill her. She is afraid of and strikes him with tea cup. However, he disappears and she gets hurt her hand. After that, her husband came home and he talks about war with her. She picked up bag and open. There are fingers of Japanese army and she is very surprised. However, he talks about them with philosophy. At last, she cried.

First, I couldn't understand this movie's message. Mr.Alec explain about it, I could understand a little. Probably, I think that she found that he changes after coming home. He talks about war with philosophy. If I were him, I will talk about war with wept tears of regret. I think that War made him changed, so I was scared very much.

Otousan no tabako (2007)

There is a girl named Sara who is elementary school student. She always buys tobacco, because her dying father told her to buy a tobacco. She buys and goes back with a tobacco, but her mother finds it and scolds her. After that, she goes to buy a tobacco again while her mother goes shopping. She inserts money to vending machine, but it is broken. She told man near her that money doesn't return. However, he steals money. She is at her wits' end, and decides to go to park. She met woman there and talk with. Finally, the woman gives her a tobacco. Sara goes to home and try to give a tobacco to her father.

I think that Sara is very kind girl, because if her mother scolds her, but she bought a tobacco on her way to home from school. Finally, she found that is it a true affection to buy a tobacco for her dying father. I think that it is important for her to find true affection.

There is the man who is sleeping . Just then ,UFO ,which is controlled by two aliens who are instructor and apprentice appears. They carry out an examination ,taking out sleeping man, to be instructor. However, apprentice alien poor at controlling. Instructor alien help him and cleared man's room. After, they try to move different planet.

Lifted directed by Gary Rydstrom who has won seven Academy Award for his work in sound for movies. This movie was released theatrically with Ratatouille costed nine months to produce and received a sneak peek at the 42nd Chicago International Film Festival. This movie's motion is more natural than Knick Knacks motion. However, there were no large technology, only the use of a new program. This program gave animator a way to resonate.

This movie started grand but to be interesting more and more. Even if there are not dialogues we feel interesting. I thought that Pixar is expected.

There is a snowman in snow dome. The snowman loved the girl of an ornament at first sight. He wants to go near her, but wall made of glass prevented him. He tried to break it by many methods with one mind, which wants to go close.

This movie produced by Pixar, which made high quality hardware won many prizes. However, Pixar's sales were scarce so began to make commercial movies of corporation. Because of that, they tried to make 3D movies. Knick Knock is about 4 minutes movie. I thought that this is the longest 3D movie in 1980s.

This movie is very funny and I frankly giggled. My action brought back pure feelings in my childhood. I think that snowman's heart not give up show Pixar's spirit which try to make long 3D animation movie. Compared with present Pixar's movie, I realized progress of technology and many people's efforts.

There is a little boy who is elementary school student. He loves my homeroom teacher, and he gives ring to her. One day, he meets her at supermarket by chance when he goes shopping with mother. He shows new shoes and she shows an engagement ring. Her fiancé appears in front of him, and he is very shocked. The boy declare to fiancé " I kill you with a gun." He appears in front of the couple frequently. At last, the fiancé follows him and he aims the fiancé with gun.

This movie excited me very much. Because, the boy who looks very kind do boldly action. I was very surprised and the surprise excited me still more. I could understand message which director want to convey. If the fiancé loved her very much, he would have destroyed engage. I think that the boy wanted to know how the fiancé loves her .This story is very interesting, so I assent that this movie was awarded Best Irish Short at the 23rd Foyle Film Festival.

Three Days in Kamakura (2012)

One couple lives in kamakura. David is funny and kind man, and Keiko is kind woman. He is English nursery school teacher and plays with children and reads book to them. There is a boy, who David worries about. His mother always goes to school to pick her son up. Next day, she doesn't come, so David takes her son to restaurant to eat dinner. After that, David takes her son to his house and said to Keiko that we made him grown up and we become family. However, she doesn't agree. She advises him to call police. At last, he decides to call police to explain the boy.

I think that Keiko couldn't bear baby, because she has cut at stomach. Probably, he likes children, so worked in nursery school teacher. She thought him and her body at balcony and she found that David is someone important to her, so she advised him to call police. This movie made me thinking whether family must have child. I think that not child but love family must have.

The Lunch Date (1989)

There is a woman who cannons into a black person and misses the train. She is bewildered and decides to eat lunch in the restaurant. She buys salad and put the table, but a black man sits down the seat and eats the salad. Reluctantly, she buys salad again and eats. After that, a black man buys two cups of coffee and gives her. However, she drinks in sips and leaves. She notices a left thing, and return the restaurant. There is her left thing and salad which nobody touches. She becomes a good mood.

I think that there is racial discrimination in this era, so eating lunch with just the two of her is very rare. This movie was entered into the1990 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the short Film Palme d'Or. This is the highest prize given to a short film. First, the woman seems to be sulky, but she smile at last. I thought it was good.

Gasman (1997)

In the Christmas season, mother has daughter and son dressed up and father take them to Christmas party. On the way to the party, woman with daughter and son stands up on railway. Their father talks with the woman and he takes girl and boy together. They arrived at the party. Two girls dance together, one boy sits down the seat with eating something, another boy throws something. Younger girl goes to father and sits down on his knee while older girl plays by herself. As soon as older girl watched this scene, she goes and tried to pull ahead father and younger girl. However, they make up at last.

I think that girl and boy, who joined from the middle, are the man's children. Therefore, the woman who waits for him on the railway is his second wife. However, I couldn't find out the message which director wants to convey. So, I want to watch this movie until I can find out the message.

Day & Night (2010)

There are two men, one's body is day and another 's body is night. First, Day finds Night. He is night, so he sleeps very well. Day prevents Night from sleeping. Night gets angry for Day, so they fight with. However, Night found that each other's body shows different scene. Therefore, they enjoy watching various scenes, for example building's illumination, watching movie, which is road show, flying show, fire works and woman bathing swimsuit. At last, the next day comes.

I think that two men were very cute. First, they fought with, but they found good point of each other and enjoyed watching scenes as if they are children. They embraced each other halfway, because they wanted to watch rising sun. This scene made me happy and I smiled. I think that director's idea, which movie's scene is black to show pictures by using two men is rare. This movie has much humor and child's mind.

Father and Daughter (2000)

There is a man who had a young daughter. He went, leaving her. She believed that he would certainly come back, so she continued to go to the place parted from him.

I was sad and painful. Because daughter went to place parted from her father, but her wish wasn't fulfilled. She grew up and the lake disappeared. This part and film's music made me sad. Perhaps, without music I couldn't feel painfulness.

I have two mysterious points. First, why do they use bicycle? They used bell of bicycle instead of saying words. Whether it rained or the wind blew, she used bicycle. I think that it is necessary to use bicycle. Second, why do writer not draw people's face? If the writer drew people's face, I would understand this film better.

I think so, this film is wonderful. Because this film impressed me without dialogue and people's expression. Last scene made my heart tight. I became that it is likely to tear.

Paperman (2012)

ultimate love story

The man who has a lot of paper stands at platform. The woman appears in front of him and a strong wind is blowing. A piece of paper on her face and she kisses the paper. As soon as, she takes the train without saying him good-bye. Some days later, he works in his office and looks out the window. He found her and tried to be found that he works in the office next to her building. He makes a paper plane and throw it toward her many times. However, a paper plane doesn't arrive at her. He goes to her, but loses sigh of her. He gives up to meet her again. However, miracle happens for him.

This movie has no dialogues, but music and character's expression give words. I watched first time, I could understand that his feeling. A paper plane, which expressed his feeling for her, couldn't arrive, I was very sad. At last, miracle happened. I became happy and impressed this story.

Fish Out of Water (2005)

an interesting title

There is the man who rows a boat to the office. Four people ask him to take them to their office by his boat.

I like the hero. Because he didn't use one car, bus or train. It is very good for nature and very cheap. But the four people are opposite. The woman smokes and the fat man threw away garbage into the sea and his radio was noisy. Another man talked anyone in loud voice on his telephone If these actions were done in the train or bus, I would be angry. But the man who rows the boat isn't angry, he is patient.

One point, which is hard to understand is the woman who is catching fish. Did she love the man who rows a boat? She always caught fish when he arrived at the port. Was she waiting for him? She seems jealous when he went to the office with another woman.
