No One Will Save You (2023)
Waste of time
I love horror movies, but this felt like a pretentious movie about sanity(?) of some sorts of which after finishing the film I still don't understand what it was about.
The non-verbal, no-lines approach felt like it was an attempt to put itself a level higher and level itself with A Quiet Place, but it just felt like a college project where they didn't have enough time to write the script so they just went ahead with grunts and gasps and what not.
I love the tone of it though. That was maintained veru well.
Overall this felt very amateurish-pretentious and after finishing you still won't understand what it's about , sadly.
Army of the Dead (2021)
college project with budget
This is just a plane muscle movie. The cinematography feels amateurish and character development was blah. Had high expectations for this. What we got was college project.
Safe (2018)
A little thrilly, less human
They had an extremely good story but I personally felt like the humanness of it is not jn there. The thrill and mystery felt like the priority. Kept thinking if Broadchurch team managed it it would have been done better. But never the less not so bad.
Nadie Sabe Que Estoy Aquí (2020)
Great Idea, Execution could have been better
The Idea was there. Surprising story. But the overall execution sadly wasn't. The movie could've gone somewhere. There were moments like it was feeling like "A Star is Born", but the execution felt like they pulled it out from under you. Hope to see a remake of this.
Fury (2014)
Very good casting
The ensemble casting was better than expected. Their dynamics and how they shine in their solor parts were brilliant. Lebouf proves he can give us serious drama, and it's marvelous.
The Ruins (2008)
Watched on Netflix in 2020
I came in not expecting anything but this went beyond my non existent expectations. The mystery, the gore, and the dynamics of the actors all together make this a future cult favorite. Even watching this in 2020 with the new generation of great horror movies.
Dracula (2020)
Ep1 was exccellent
Ep1 was excellent, wished they kept it on that timeline. Ep3 was a disaster.
The Last Airbender (2010)
Everyone's so tough on this movie
I've never watched a single episode of the series, and I've watched this movie in 2019 and I gotta say, for me it's not as bad as people say it is. I think people came in expecting the movie to be the same as the series. Google: "how expectations ruin everything."
Jiu ceng yao ta (2015)
Initially gave it a 5, but then gave it a 4
At the start of the movie it feels a bit blurry, but as you go along the movie it gets even more blurry and senseless. It's a movie to showcase graphics capabilities nothing more. That being I'm a big fan of asian movies.
