Parlamentet (1999)
Sorry you foreign watchers...
You're really missing out on something here.
To line it up simply for you: Think of the parliament, or think of the democrats and the republicans, and there you have the basic outline for the show. The blue team and the red team battle each other and think up jokes as they go. For example, there's a bit called "Hints from the coach", where the comedians are to answer the host's questions while acting as different things or people.
Parlamentet is a satire-show with the best Swedish comedians out there. Every show is full of well-known, or less well-known comedians which never fail to insult each other or think of obscene, witty or just silly remarks about the other team, the host or Sweden and it's politicians.
Parlamentet is yet to disappoint the Swedish viewers.
Saltön (2005)
Nice in the winter darkness
"Saltön" is not a show to get too involved in, neither to just ignore. It's a show easy to identify with, with the people not being to sweet or too plastic for my personal taste. Everyone makes mistakes, nobody's perfect, which this show proofs. We have a wife, Emily, who moved out and lives in her car, not being a perfect housewife at all. And seeing that everyone in this series plays their part beautifully, I have not much to complain about.
"Saltön" is a show about a group of people living on this small, idyllic island. Their lives grow together in many different ways, and even though you may think that someone in this show might get a too big part, the truth is that sometimes you watch it just too see a glint of your favorite character. I recommend it for everyone who likes to see a show nice and suitable for the winter darkness, and then wants too plan their vacation to a small, idyllic island, 'cause "Saltön" is a show that brings up a lots of memories of past summers, and longings for the next.
And if you may feel that this not suits you, watch it anyway, either you will get completely caught up in it, or you can sit every week watch a group of talented actors do their best and succeed.
