Breathe (I) (2024)
8/10
Flawed but still underrated
19 April 2024
Acting: 9/10 Story: 8/10 Director: 4/10 Visuals: 8/10 What is bad about this movie:
  • the psycho in this movie is a boring cliché seen in so many psycho movies
  • the story, while not original, is pretty good, but is dumbed down by several bad choices in the script, which are quite off putting and they explain so many bad reviews. I agree with the bad reviews but not with their final score.

  • several plot holes could have been fixed with a more inventive script, but instead, they are constantly taking you out of the movie's flow
  • there is no black bad character, all baddies are whites, which might indicate a political agenda.

  • small details like watches indicating only O2, while today's smartwatches can show so many more things.

What is good about this movie (and most of the bad reviews are ignoring):
  • very good acting
  • I liked the story build up, the realism and the imminence of such of scenario in real life
  • special effects are more than enough for this movie and do very good job for the immersion
  • the ending, while quite predictable, was giving me a bit of hope in humanity after all.

Alien Endgame (2022)
1/10
I was going to give 2 stars for an involuntary comedy show but...
30 October 2023
But watching other commentaries (thanks lads) I realized this is purely a deliberate attempt of discrediting all true information about real UFO sightings. The amount of telenovela-like (soap opera) emotional highs about how much the "victims" (who did not suffered any physical damage) suffered from the aliens who were "stalking" them by following their ships without attacking them or by disabling some nuclear weapons without killing them made me thing this is a movie made by gullible amateurs. Further on in the movie I realized this is not possible, especially after the surrealistic comments of the so called "reporter" who is explaining to the "witnesses" how the things really happened. And the other comments confirmed my second thought that this movie is not candidly stupid-funny but 100% deliberately fake to discredit any real information about aliens or UFO's.

Cosmic Sin (2021)

Involuntary Comic Sin

I know it's not nice to lough at an old man who does not get anymore good contracts, it sounds rather sad, but it's funny. That's if you are in a good mood and enjoy Ed Wood's or Asylum "masterpieces".

Immortals (2011)
1/10
It's like Back Street Boys singing classical music
28 June 2013
Imagine some good guys from your favorite bad neighborhood wearing names like Zeus and Athena etc fighting some bad ugly guys from the clan of Titans and some weapon smuggler named Hyperion.

Imagine some writers without imagination using some well known names from Greek mythology, which they only have some vague idea about, in a plot without any connection to the original characters.

Add some CGI and you have Immortals. 1 out of 10 and the 1 is just for the graphics and the pretty oracle, otherwise I would give 0.

I completely liked the series Xena, the warrior princess for using mythological characters without connection to history but with the excuse of being full of self-irony and funny anachronisms. This movie, on the other hand, takes itself too seriously. The gaps in the scenario are also ruining all the fun you might have had from the fighting scenes.

Avoiding this movie would be a good investment in your own time.
