Raised by Wolves (2020)
Save your time
I'm writing this so you can save your time, unlike me. The first episode or two started out as I might've expected from Ridley Scott: interesting, beautifully shot, somewhat garbled. The seeds of the series' destruction were clear in the early episodes, but I ignored them hoping for the best. Alas with each new episode the stories became more ridiculous, less logical, less interesting. Bordering on infuriating. I watched all of the season one episodes so that I can tell you quite clearly: don't waste your time!
Escape to Grizzly Mountain (2000)
Simply terrible.
My kids did not enjoy this garbage.
Needless to say, I had a mean laugh or two at the absolutely amateurish acting and production values and the pathetic plot and dialog. This is apparently the second of a series of Grizzly Mountain movies. How do movies like this get made and how do they get distributed? And why does my wife pick them out for Family Movie Night?!
I vaguely recollect Grizzly Adams. Despite the disclaimer, this movie is a weak attempt to capitalize on the character and memories of what was undoubtedly a low quality TV series. This movie has forever sullied what dim memories I have of Grizzly Adams.
I kept thinking of the documentary "Grizzly Man" and wishing that perhaps the same fate would befall one or more of the characters in this movie--don't they realize grizzlies are dangerous and make poor pets?!
I gave it two stars because the bear cub was cute.
