Dexter: New Blood: Too Many Tuna Sandwiches (2021)
Cuts right to the chase. Brilliant television
What I love about New Blood is the fact that the series comes as vindication for all Dexter ways who were left rather underwhelmed by the way the original series ended. With a format like a 10-episode series, the creators can just go directly for the meaty parts and cut out all fillers. As a result, what you get is an hour of intense edge-of-the-seat television.
I'm sure that by the time this series is done, Dexter will again jump up the list of all-time greats in television in many people's minds. Thank you creators, for bringing Dexter back into our lives. Every episode just keeps getting better.
Aquaman (2018)
Finally! DC proves it's mettle with a badass flick that won't be forgotten anytime soon.
Aquaman! A freakishly beautiful telling of a simple tale. The rightful heir must fight off his half brother to take his rightful place in the throne. What the film lacks in terms of complex plotline, it lavishly makes up for in cinematography, stunt choreography, visual effects and pretty much every other department.
Jason Momoa is a spot-on choice for Aquaman/Arthur Curry and he carries the role on his strong shoulders with swagger and panache. He oozes charisma in every scene and the scene in which he comes out armor clad for the final fight scene gave me chills.
I would strongly recommend to go and watch the movie in theatres. DCEU finally gets it right!
The Mentalist: Red John (2013)
a fitting end to a dark tale or a bridge to more chaos?
the last mentalist episode might have been a disappointment to most viewers but not to me, i see there is more to the tale. remember the epic scene when Jane asks McAllister if he was sorry for killing his wife and daughter and McAllister blinks twice, that could be taken in two ways , either that he really isn't sorry that he killed them or he never killed them himself and he is just a pawn in the bigger game of chess between Jane and John.. who might be still out there. i know this would be stretching it but i like being optimistic about the show i love so much from the start and i believe in it.also too many clues are left unresolved and i know as a brilliant show maker as Bruno Heller is he wouldn't leave all those hanging out there besides if red john is done already, what keeps the show going? where does Jane go from here? too many more questions will arise than be solved and that would be a blunder in itself.
