Backlight (2010)

Comes together

This was a fun movie. I enjoyed watching everything come together. The only negative thing about it was the mom. Her acting was stiff. But all the other actors were spot on. The stories were good. The scenery was amazing. The flow was smooth. I wasn't left really questioning anything. Maybe the ending a little bit but some writers like you to finish the story yourself. The movie was imaginative. These are the kind I usually enjoy. I really liked the relationship between Matt and the boy. Makes me wonder what the kid really knew. The joking with the old man driver had me laughing. Kept my interest all the way to end credits.

Apparently either people are making stuff up about this movie or they got the movies confused. I think someone should look into it. There were no twins and no accents from previous reviews and no sex scenes either, unless I saw some pg version. So I agree with the couple thing though she's cute, he looks 10 plus her age to be high-school sweethearts. I don't even see any Christianity in here except one of the guys did say free will just so we'd know who He was talking to at the end of the movie. But anyway, it was fun, I liked the free coin idea and the guy chasing them down the highway was creepy looking. I would say it was fun, don't expect a blockbuster but I enjoyed it...

I just really cant say anything bad about this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The onscreen "chemistry" between the two leads, I think they're best buddies in reality. The story kept me interested from the beginning, I couldn't stop watching til the end. It was sad intriguing and fun all at the same time.

Great story. I dont find good horror movies. Maybe not super scary like a horror but the story was more unique to me than most out there. Although I did call a couple things that happened in this movie it was very enjoyable. The acting was believable. I actually cared about the people to invest my time in. This is also hard to find. Movies now days seem to focus on who we should dislike so we can enjoy their death scenes. That's fun too but hey I like a little more depth and this movie had it.

I didn't think the acting was bad at all. I liked the characters for the most part. Nice scenery and interesting ghost story. The ending, now the ending was what aggravated me. A rehash of what happened on the island was not the way to go. It just ended like I walked off of the end of a cliff...

This was a fun movie. It may be easy to figure out but really, it was fun. Lots of action, some blood. The ending was not surprising but again, it was fun...

I will be looking for more of Allisyn in future movies though. I did like the dancing through the movie. It gave me the feel of Alice in Wonderland. I cant say that I liked much of the movie though. The lighting was surreal. There was just way too much screaming through the whole movie. It really just gave me a headache by the end.

Slay Belles (2018)

If you want a fun Christmas horror/comedy movie this is a great pick. This slay was a smooth ride all the way through. Reminds me of the campy movies of the 80s that a lot of people still enjoy. The acting was spot on and not too over the top. Ive enjoyed a few of these actors in other movies as well. There really wasn't a dull moment. Id put this in my collection of movies to watch again, no regrets in watching this. Thanks for an enjoyable movie experience!

That is the amount of time I wasted watching this one man sheet show. I felt nothing for the characters whatsoever, not even the daughter. I felt like she was thrown in there just for us to care about his relationship with her and it did not work. He was just dumb, everything he did was like he was clueless that there weren't going to be any repercussions for anything he ever did. Makes me wonder how he was even able to father a child. If you like watching a sad useless persons life then this movie is for you. I cant even. Oh, the dogs did a great job though.

After reading some negative reviews I had to write this. What I expected is what I got. Enjoyable squishy kill scenes, bad guys that were hateable. Reminded me of A Clockwork Orange in some areas, yes Mad Max and Christine Maybe some Deathrace without the tally. I dont know what you expected but maybe if you step back and take a look, it isnt Its a Wonderful Life...

And who approved it? What happened at dinner? Is the cat alive? Why is this haunting even happening? Is it a haunting? Hallucinations? There are so many questions with no answers, are they on the cutting room floor. Made no sense. The only thing this movie did was bore me to tears and maybe look into these rooms. You wont miss anything by missing this movie.

I tried to watch this movie all the way through. I never made it all the way through for the lack of caring for ANY of the characters. No one in this movie is memorable as an actor, not even Patrick Kilpatrick. I fast forwarded through endless dialogue to see if anything ever happened, it did not. The storyline was an absolute mess. Boring, absolutely boring. There was no entertainment value in this movie at all. Usually I can find someone or something to take away for future reference. This movie left me wondering if I should ever take a chance on low budget indie flicks. You should do yourself a favor and make sure you do not rent this movie..ever.

Snakes on a Plane (2006)

Out of everything expected from a movie that was cliché enough to laugh at itself, starting with the title, I found myself wondering why there wasn't an in-flight movie. I enjoyed the interesting ways the snakes attacked and bit the passengers, especially in the beginning. The action was non stop and of course Samuel made the whole experience a classic. There wasn't a lot of background on the characters to really care too much for any of them, but the main characters were likable enough. Mary Kate was such a Bi*ch. Go see it, there is nothing boring about this movie, the action doesn't stop. The only other suggestion I have is don't stay for the video, now that was bad....
