I was born in a little village called Espirito Santo do Turvo in countryside of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, since 1976 I'd started write on a little book the name of all movies that l did watched in my life since then in five degrees only.

ln 1982 this book is completelly filled, a large book quickly was added, which to be fil all over again, just around 200 pictures, including the original name, country, year, director and the main casting only.

however in 1998 l'd changed for a final and large book, now most appropiate method on ten degrees, until may 2019 I'd watched 9.800 movies and rated by me in my book, some l'd watched many times among them a dozen times.

How l'd started watch in television because my village didn't have a theatre so l'd used to watch dubbed movies...so l really like it, although today the dubbing is a crap!! In this case l've been prefer the original audio.

My favorites is Sci-fictions, Westerns, Noirs, all Comedies and old Terror just named a few, following by every kinds of documentaries, nevertheless my collection l have all kinds of movies and almost 8.750 titles and 390 series, among them rariest bootlegs until previously unreleased on original DVD or Blu-ray....no VHS because lt's needs a large space.

My Life is my family, my Factory, my movies and my religion is the S.C. Corinthians Paulista!!!

  • Another Hollywoodian cold war paranoia, worthwhile a look!!

It seems a strong resemblance with THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE took on screen in early sixties, of course up to a point concerning the budge, in The Fearmakers we have just one major star Dana Andrews meanwhile the other cited above had a dozen them upon a large budge, so the well-crafted director Jacques Tourneur make it worthwhile due his proficient leadership, the plotline is rather the same where a war veteran soldier is back from Korea after had imprisoned by the reds in China and undergone by brainwashed process, after be released by US's Army he finds out that his business public-research company has been sold by his late partner, hereinafter it changes the modus operandi, now they working by politicians upon fraudulent surveys.

It has a target lift a puppet at higher position towards White House, well it seems at first glance another American paranoia that took place on fifties with the infamous McCarthyism, nonetheless the mindful viewers are wondering what's about a fifty years old business man had in mind to fight in a silly war likewise Korea, due the America wasn't in jeopardy whatsoever as in WWII, another low point is his old partner had all powers that including sell its partnership, well it is too much to my tiny brain, openly the screenplay has many unfilled holes, aside these mismatches the picture is quite endearing, the gorgeous girl Marilee Earle is welcome as the faltering secretary where Dana Andrews lays high stakes, Dick Foran as villain overcame himself, overall worthwhile a look in this anti reds propaganda.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Lackluster resemblance of Melville's Le Samourai!!

In a post war period a former Japanese soldier became a smoothly hitman Shiozawa (Raizô Ichikawa), clean and fast killer, soon a Yakusa's mobster Maeda (Azao Koike) hires him to erase a powerful opponent, after a successful job a low member of Maeda's mob Kimura (Mikio Narita) approaches him sneakily to be his pupil, due his methodic manner impressed him deeply, even Shiozawa turns down openly Kimura doesn't give up, meanwhile appears a young prostitute Keiko (Yumiko Nogawa) trying allures the secluded Shiozawa fruitless, upon such refusal, the greedy Keiko doesn't take too long to interact with Kimura.

Soon Kimura receives an info about a drug smuggler is about to came at harbor area, so he invites the skilled Shiozawa to steal the mob's drugs, a kind of piece of cake job, however Kimura and Keiko have other plan concerning their odd partner, aside some mismatches the picture has some resemblance with Jean-Pierre Melville's LE SAMOURAI as honor code and others commonality, nonetheless the offering never getting fire properly, actually far away from his forerunner.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Upon a fine premise a criminal insertion of rapper songs on the thirties, it became illogical and anachronic!!

Essentially a black picture made by a couple of rappers, well-conceived screenplay sets on thirties over a two opposite young guys raised together, whereby Percival (Andre 300) son of undertaker and Rooster (Big Boi) son of bootlegger Spats (Ving Rhames) both work in a local nightclub named Church managed by heavy hand by the fat boss Sunshine Ace (Faizon Love), in this burlesque-sinful environment Percival is a skilled piano player and Rooster as singer, everything went upside down when Spats and Sunshine are killed by the greed guy Trumpy (Terrence Howard) as bootlegger supplier who intents become a local boss.

Upon a fine premise allied an awesome dancer choreography of the gorgeous girls around also a creative moving camera, beautiful photography mixing with fabulous visual effects, the two musicians made a criminal insertion of rapper songs on the thirties, an intentional anachronism so to speak, well it undermines the whole pack, due it no make sense at all, actually illogical, even the less attentive viewer will not such mismatch.

    Thanks for reading.
