The Warrant (2020)
couldn't get past the first 1/2 hour
The amateurish acting spoiled any of the rest of the movie for me. Like watching a high school play. Was intrigued initially by the storyline but couldn't follow it enough to really get into it. My wife and i have been watching some of the old westerns from the 1950's and most of those had better acting than this one. I rarely quit watching a movie before it's over but this one ranks right up there with "Atomic Train". Mcdonough"s acting was about the only tolerable part of this. He has a way to go before he's ready to be behind the camera though. Sorry i couldn't be more positive but i call "em like i see "em.
Tales of Wells Fargo: The Outlaw's Wife (1960)
plastic bag?
Under the pile of rocks. Plastic happened almost 100 yrs later. The rest of the show may have been okay, but with this kind of mistake, the rest of the show loses any of the credibility it may have had before and after this major mistake. Some other mistakes could be overlooked and unfortunately this mistake overrides any of the decent acting that may or may not have been.. the widely missed punches and other similar mistakes can be attributed to no video recording in the 60's. The plotof the show is totally lost after the unearthing scene. Editing out a mstake lijke this would have been excusable.
NCIS: Los Angeles: Best Seller (2023)
get a consultant
Once again, the CSI family screwed up an episode by the inaccurate portrayal of wildlife. Seriously, the noise that the mule deer made while being hunted was closer to a bear. Anyone who's ever heard their sounds, know they are very silent. They also don't squeal when injured. The coyote also sounded more like what you would expect in a 1950's western. Who is responsible for this crap? Stick to city settings if that's all the better you can do. A previous episode of NCIS referred to a male elk (bull) as a buck. What crap. Also, later in the show, they referred to his backpack containing only deer meat (venison). He must have been a very conscientious hunter to field dress his kill while being pursued by the mercenaries right after he shot the deer. Do better or you'll lose me.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Leave No Trace (2022)
do your homework
Was extremely disappointed by the reference of a supposed wildlife to a male and female "rocky mountain elk" as a buck and doe respectively. Anyone who isn't locked in the city life knows they're bulls and cows (respectively). This has all but ruined my opinion of this series. Since Mark Harmon left the series, I've noticed a lack of fact checking by the producers. This isn't the first mistake I've noticed but the first of any significance. Is anyone on the set from a rural area. Anyone that is would know the correct reference. I enjoy the characters, but the series, as a whole, has been depreciating at a rapid rate. Ducky is great and Jimmy is still evolvng. The show, however, is fading.
Chicago Fire: 51's Original Bell (2020)
no police cars?
A hearse has an accident on the freeway, the cfd shows up and there are no police cars on scene. this isn't the first time the accident scene had no police presence. this NEVER happens in the real world..
Serengeti: Destiny (2019)
the anthropomorphization is nauseating
The excellent camera work is negated by the "bambi" attributes of the narration. could have been entertaining otherwise.
Bonanza: The Lonely Runner (1965)
city folks
Am I the only person that ever noticed that the "mare" at the beginning of the show was a male?
