Nobody (2021)
Not in the bottle
This movie is best described as lighting just missing the bottle. Gotta cut back on the corn. Couldn't digest it.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Top notch
This may be a different take in the same universe, this is difficult for those who are used to things staying the same. It can feel to them ascnon genuine or like mixing marvel and dc characters in a single movie or series. This however is seperate from the quality of this show. It is like all other star treks, except a couple, and is ahead of its time. Everything is top notch, acting, writing, special effects, editing, directing, cinematography....etc etc. Try to leave pre conceived notions at home and this will be a hell of a treat.

Hubie Halloween (2020)
FUN, NOSTALGIC, NEEDED.
May not compare to Sandler's classics but not as bad as his misses. Somewhere between the two on the plus side of classics. Its a great Halloween comfort flick. Something different but the same....O'doyle Rules! I upped it to 10 to offset the haters of his voice. If you saw the trailer u knew the voice was part of it.
Utopia (2013)
Who Are The Dummies Downrating This Show????
This show is easily the UK response to AMC's Breaking Bad. There are many similarities such being cinematography, the fact you can root for the bad guy or so you think is the bad guy....and other tones you cant help but feel. The one bad thing about this show is that it may just ruin any other TV show you may be planning on watching in the near future. Anybody giving this show less then 10 are either 1) not actually watching the show (more like multitasking PC time with TV time) unable to immerse themselves properly. This show can be complex and needs the attention it DEMANDS to enjoy Or 2)They just may be too simple to understand the plot and/or appreciate the ART in this masterpiece.
Don't want to take my word for it ? Maybe the fact that HBO has already started production on US version of the show before UTOPIA was even in their second season.....maybe that will sway you.
Just watch it in HD and if at all possible on a plasma for a full colour Utopian effect!!! DO NOT SKIMP ON Quality MEDIUM, as this is just as much part of the show as any other aspect!
Utopia (2020)
Cant improve on perfection.
This doesn't touch the British version. Not even close. Way off target. David Fincher, in my opinion, realized that you can't improve on perfection and pulled out of the HBO remake, even with a near budget of 100,000,000 per season before it was sold to Amazon. Like doing a british version of breaking bad, it just isn't gonna happen. The original Utopia had chilling hair raising music written by an award winning Canadian composer, it had the over-highlighted colors in the cinematography to mezmorize you, the acting from the worst actor from the original was above and beyong Cusack's best day in this one. Let's not forget "Arby" who was played by Neil Maskell(original version) what i would personally consider to be the highlight of his acting career. Neil's performance had you deeply invested and conflicted, scared and proud, gave you straight out chills...this Arby, played by Christopher Denham(New version), well,.. I couldn't act my way out of a paper bag, but my performance would eclipse his...in fact anybody's would,...he in my opinion ruined the role, and it was possibly the most important role in the show. Seems to me he just wasn't really into it. Also wheres Arbys signature bright yellow jacket?
Awwwwwwe man !!! , I waited years for the remake, constantly being put through a roller coaster of hope and dissapointment, starting with channel 4's decision to cut the original utopia way too short, it has bothered me to this day, then i find out HBO had bought it up and that maybe they would(should have) added to it or at least under David Fincher's(Fight Club) direction they would have remade something similar in weight, but then Fincher pulls out and the project was cancelled. Then Amazon picked it up, but to my dissapointment finally grinding out this meat patty. Unfortunately this is a dicount version in every conceivable way except for maybe budget (im guessing,..it is Ama$on after all). Looks like my roller coster came to an abrupt end into a brick wall. FFS.
Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
Meh
Meh dude, but its the year of the covid, so something to watch thats new content...so theres that :)
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019)
Fun
Dumb but in a good way. Its not going for an Oscar folks, treat it as such and youll sure to get a few laughs in....fun. Dont believe it deserves so many low ratings.
The Dead Don't Die (2019)
"This wasn't in the script"
Worth a Tuesday ticket. Maybe it wouldn't get a bad rating if theatres adopted video game variable pricing. I wouldn't want to pay $79.99 for a new gen ported original "Pacman" as you would for say the newest "COD". However that too is debatable with the more recent "COD" releases lol.....bing! shot off the port side ;)
Now Apocalypse (2019)
Huh?
Really tried to make it through first ep. Then i realized i was actually wasting my life away.
Sex Education (2019)
What a nice surprise!!
Funny drama mixed with just the right amount of vulgarity. The good thing about Netflix buying everything is eventually they get a hit...and why not?....they got the money!
Schooled (2019)
This is a joke...not in a funny way
This is the Goldberg's minus everything that makes the Goldberg's a hit show. Lainy? I think that's how it's spelt....is not fit for lead. Sorry hun. The primordial soup that gave life to this show is just missing too many ingredients. Doomed to fail. Or maybe like "The Middle" will be on TV for some kind of inexplicable long length of time, but my guess there's no season 2, if it even makes it through the first. Spinoffs are usually failures. This is no exception. Chuck Lorre the spinoff King was lucky with "Sheldon" to be able to create a show from a show that can actually stand on its own. This is not that. Take the time and money wasted on this show and make something worthwhile, or hell, give it to me I'll make better use of it buying fast cars booze and drugs. This show is horrible unwatchable nonsense. I gave it a 1 star to help counter the fake self promoting reviews on IMDb. It's really about a 3.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015)
WET BLANKET American SUMMER
Yet another "wet blanket" to add to the list of financially and internally motivated uprated shows/movies from Netflix Originals. I read that Netflix does not look at the ratings of their shows to avoid the messy mid-first season cancellations that other networks like NBC face and not to affect the shows "integrity". This however is a double edged sword as Wet Hot American Summer can attest to. This show along side of other "financially motivated" over rated "WET BLANKETS" of Netflix Originals, such as "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", "Sense8" and even... yes... dodge incoming flak..."House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black" are well in over rated territory. Do all of us a favour, if you ever find yourself caught up in the nonsense of "what's in" and what is currently being talked about at your local water cooler... which in turn may cause breakouts of overratedness and loss of common sense... do what everyone should do... a palate cleanser. Just look at Breaking Bad and its rating of 9.5. Do you really think that shows such as Wet Hot.., Unbreakable Kimmy.., etc, etc... really only deserve to be separated by 1 to a 1.5 star rating?
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015)
Is there a lower score then 1 star ??
OK, so at the time of writing this post this show is/was at 8.2 out of 10. I am now convinced between this shows 8.2 rating and many other flops out there being rated up on IMDb and RT, that there is no other explanation then anonymous and personally financially motivated trolled uprated/overrated reviews. Reading a good review of this show is like hearing someone trying to tell you that blue is actually red. When in fact blue is blue and red is red... as we should all know. With this type of abuse that im sure is well over shadowing legitimate reviews, I cant help feel lost in finding a site I can now trust. For this particular show, NETFLIX should just remove it and any residual trace of it from their servers and leave it in the deep bowels of the darknet to be illegally downloaded ironically... leaving this disgrace of a show behind and below them.
