Kalifornia (1993)
Great Cult Film
Very good cult with Brad Pitt giving a superb performance. Juliette Lewis plays the perfect cult leading actress. This film is so good that it should be put out again on the big screen. With all the movies Brad Pitt has been in and with David Duchovny being in the hit show Californication I believe it would be a box office hit.
I did not want to add a spoiler but Brad Pitt plays the perfect mentally ill serial killer. His southern accent is very believable. Not only do Brad and Juliette take Michelle Forbes and David Duchovny on a ride of their lives they also take the audience.
Great movie I definitely recommend if you like cults.
The Killing Room (2009)
I really enjoyed this movie.
I actually really enjoyed this movie. It kept me in suspense and showed that the government using humans as test subjects could still possibly happen. I give this movie two thumbs up for its new spin on holding people "hostage". This movie gave justification for why holding people hostage and using them in an experiment had to be done. What is scary is that some extremist would think this would be a perfect way to recruit subjects. I am sorry about being so vague but I don't want to give the movie away.
This movie makes one think how would one act if placed in a similar situation. It makes one think am I strong enough and smart enough to get out of the situation in 1 piece. Again very good movie.
Luna: Spirit of the Whale (2007)
The Fate of the Real Luna
The other comment that Luna was killed is correct. Mar 11, 2006 Luna, the juvenile killer whale from Washington state waters who got lost in Canada's Nootka Sound five years ago, apparently died Friday when he was accidentally struck by a tugboat propeller, Canadian authorities said. The tug's big propeller, contained in a cylinder, "generates a lot of current. ... It would have been a sudden death." "The skipper is reported to be greatly distressed. He called the coast guard immediately after it happened," Sloan said from agency offices in Vancouver, British Columbia. "A lot of people here are pretty shocked and saddened." "It's a very tragic ending," he said. Luna was about 6 years old. Orca life stages roughly parallel those of humans, so he was the killer-whale equivalent of a young child.
Very sad ending to this story. If you want to read the rest go to www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,187537,00.html
