Monster: Lionel (2022)
Another great episode of this highly recommendable show!
I gotta say, i'm totally hooked on this show right now. The acting is top notch, Evan Peters and Richard Jenkins are on top of their prime. Great stuff! This episode is mainly seen through the eyes of the family's victims and most of these scenes are really heartwrenching to look at. Like I mentioned before, its all about the acting! Richard Jenkins shines and eventually admits that he is the who's responsible for all the bad things that happened in his past and eventually led to one of the most notorious serial killers in the US. That scene was powerful and
for the first time ever in this series, I actually felt sorry for the guy. Immediately I felt guilty for feeling some sympathy for this horrific monster.
In conclusion, this show is great and hats off to Evan Peters!
Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)
A movie that went by in a Heartbeat and will always remain as one of my favourite movies of all time!
I remember watching this movie in a theatre. It was 2003, somewhere in the East of the Netherlands. I was just 18 years old. It gave me the same cinematic vibe as Titanic did in '98. Some movies change your perspective of live and Kal ho na Ho is one fine example of such. From the beginning till the end, the 3+ hours went by as if it was nothing. The acting of Shahrukh, Saif and Preety were fabulous and on point. Everything in this movie was perfect, not to mention the classic theme song named after the movie. In 2022 I still listen to this masterpiece. Unfortunately Bollywood cannot produce masterpieces like this gem. People who aren't familiar with Hindi movies, I always show them this work of art. A movie for many generations to come, because after all, tommorow may not never come.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Do I live in a alternate Mulitiverse?
Went in with high expectations but unfortunately this movie dissapointed me big time. The best part was the beginning but as soon as the action started and the so called plot thickened I ended up being rather dissapointed. I was really expecting the best movie of 2022 so far. The trailer was promising and after Rotten tomatoes held a poll on their Instagram page about A24's best movie ever , this one came out as a winner beating The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems, movies which I enjoyed.
Too much action scenes. And what's up with the bagel? And what about all the crazy costumes? After I read the positive reviews again I slowly realized; Do I live in a Multiverse?
Delhi Crime: Episode #2.1 (2022)
Not as exciting and thrilling as season 1 but still a solid watch!
Alright then, season 1 was exquisite. It had everything a crime series must have that is required to call it a good show. Most of all, it was based off on one of the most horrific crimes in Indian history. The Nirbaya case will always be stuck somewhere in my mind. And all the actors, especially the bad ones, were perfect cast. You really hated them and I found myself cursing
at my television a few times. Anger had me good.
Season 2 had me captivated especially the brutality of the murders. The actors all did a good job but once again Shefali Shah was exceptional. Her outbursts were fine acted and believable. No season can top season 1 but this is a nice follow up. Nice job and please Netflix, give us a Season 3 . In a place like Delhi there are, unfortunately,
always horrific stories to tell.
Bullet Train (2022)
Second half was a blast!
The first half of the movie was a bit boring but the second half made it up thanks to the excellent action scenes and satisiying climax! Brad Pitt was good as always and the supporting cast was equally outstanding! Good action flick with some comedy scenes! Reminded me a little bit of Tarantino's work sometimes. Go watch it and have some fun!
Darlings (2022)
Highly enjoyable movie with a mix of comedy and drama
Surely enjoyed this movie a lot. It's subject is still a ongoing worrying situation in countries as India. Domestic violence happens anywhere in the world but everything whatd going on in the world's biggest democracy will always be extra highlighted.
Alia Bhatt shines and proves that the so called nepotism sometimes really brings some true acting gems like Alia herself. Shefali Shah was terrific and outstanding, eagerly awaiting Delhi Crime Season 2! The supporting actors and actresses all did a fine job! The story kept me hooked and it was interesting to see when Alia would 'snap'. And than the satisfaction and comedy moments came mixed with drama and sometimes unsettling moments performed perfectly by Vijay Verma! Original script and unusual for a Bollywood movie. After Major, Darlings is my second best Hindi movie of the year.
Stranger Things: Chapter Four: Dear Billy (2022)
This masterpiece of a episode had EVERYTHING!
Just finished this episode and Oh my God, what a masterpiece!!! The last 10 minutes were heart breaking and emotionally charged as no episode before. Max running out of hell to the ones she truly loved made a 37 year old man cry as a baby! What a season so far! All credits to the Duffer Brothers for making an exquisite episode! Cant wait to see more!
True Story (2021)
Aint nobody talking about the legendary soundtrack in episode 1?
Great miniseries with electrifying performances from Hart and Snipes. I always considered Hart as a comedian pur sang but after seeing this series I'm convinced he's a great actor. Little predictable but entertaining and gripping from start to end. And as A great Pac fan, I had goosebumps all over when the first episode ended with a bang! Highly reccomended!
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)
One of the most beloved movies in Indian Cinema
A classic. The hype was real in 1998 and 20 years later it still stands as one of the best and beloved movies ever produced in India. Stunning performances by especially SRK and Kajol. Their on screen chemistry is beyond this world. The title song is absolutely one of my favourites songs ever. A movie for a lifetime
and for all ages.
Red Dead Redemption II (2018)
Outstanding, mindblowing gaming experience
I've played a lot of 'open world' games and just games in general. I'm almost 34 years old and after all these years of passionate gaming, I can truly state that RDRD2 is one of the best games EVER made. 2018 is already a magnificent year for gamers all over the world because we could play as our friendly neighboorhood guy Spiderman, which was a excellent game too. Really enjoyed it. But the best had yet to come and it arrived with a wild West bang! Explaining how immersive this game is, would be a waste of time and needless because you'll need to experience it for yourself to truly understand how magnificent this piece of art is. Every time they produce top notch piece of entertainment. All I can say is, thank you Rock* for giving us one of the greatest games ever made.
The Haunting of Hill House: The Bent-Neck Lady (2018)
Best episode of the year! Hands down!
Better than any horror movie. Magnificent story line and great acting. I've watched this episode in 2 parts because I didn't wanted it to be over. This episode will stay with me forever.
