Guzaarish (2010)
Guzarish - apt and solid.
Not often we see unconventional movies in bollywood. And its not often that such movies get the praise the they deserve. Here we have - a simple yet exotic, a brilliant masterpiece, out of the box experience in this seedhi si, sadi si - "Guzarish".
This is movie has a perfect blend of emotions - not too much, but not less either - just the perfect pinch - brilliantly supported by the simple deliverance of Hrithik, awesome situational music by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, very intriguing screenplay and well written characters.
Not only it deals with the very sensitive topic of euthanasia, but at the same time - also tries to characterize life by the beauty of the surroundings, the role of others in one's life and the pain of living that life with the asterisk on top.
Smoothness of these 2 hours and 25 minutes and ease which I felt all along was just what i was looking for before buying the tickets. And it sure served me more that that.
We see a whole set of such movies in Hollywood - "The American Beauty", "Million Dollar Baby", "Gran Torino", "Into the wild", but its not too prevalent in bollywood. This movie not only takes a bold step into this discrete genre but also defines the small things that go unnoticed in this marathon of life.
I simply have no words to describe the movie perfectly except that you should be sitting in a theater watching this flick and i'm cent percent sure that this will strike down upon you as something which is very very real.
Cheers for SLB. Great job once again. Hail to Hrithik for the perfect acting. And of course - Aishwarya Bacchan - for the role she played.
This is truly amazing stuff people. Truly amazing.
Nikita (2010)
Nikita
Hey guys, After reading a few leading reviews about the show - i was baffled that how could people just jot random buzzwords without considering the excitement and the entertainment factor this new airing provides. So for everyone who says that this show ain't any good - well i strongly disagree.
This show is a perfect blend of the tomboy fetish of viewers with the glamor and storyline. I haven't seen the previous series but i have seen the movie though. And the real truth is - that as a viewer - the show sells. And it does that really well. Nikita is a nice one hour entertainment which provides completeness i once felt in prison break.
Thumbs up!
