What Did Jack Do? (2017)
Exactly what I wanted
A short 16 minute movie with Lynch in his realm and a great story that follows. Worth a watch for David Lynch fans. The dialogue is great banter and the story gets better and more interesting as it flows.
Someone new to David Lynch is as watching with me and while they did miss some of the classic cop style dialogue that I found funny, they enjoyed it enough to be enthralled at the ending.
What Jack did was something I was delightfully unfolding in my mind for the next day.

I guess Jack fell in love with a beautiful seductress.
Wolf Like Me (2022)
It's OK
I like the premise and Isla so I decided to watch it.
It's ok.
The story does feel slow. A little drawn out. I hate the actor they got for Gary, he's not working and that's my big problem.
There is zero chemistry between them and I'm putting it all on his crappy acting. His character is whiny, doesn't look out for himself or his daughter and is not in any way someone who would be dating material.
His is a truly awful character.
I am shocked this got a second season. I'm not sure I'll watch it, I couldn't stand that man in 6 episodes, not sure I'll make it another seven.
Should you watch it? Only after you've watched everything possible on your list.
The Idol: Daybreak (2023)
Unwatchable acting, lack of story
You can't tell me Jocelyn would go for Tedros. Cant pay me enough money to buy it. What I do know is this is The Weekend living out a fantasy of being an actor, fully taking advantage of his costars body. It makes my skin crawl. There is not a redeemable quality to this show, the music is awful, the story is nowhere to be seen, there is ZERO chemistry between the leads.
Then there is the clear and ever present abuse of women at any cost to the male actor, director and producers of this series.
It is a sleezy display of industry nepotism from top to bottom, directo/producer to star.
Levinson better lose some work from this, the weekend is tanking himself online.
The Idol (2023)
As bad as everyone says
I registered on IMDB just to leave a review for this.
It's bad, really bad. I can see how it could have had hope if it was told in the original way, from Jocelyn's perspective. I wish I could see the original edit but that seems lost. However taking it away from that so it's all about the weekend? The shot of him at the gates? For what other than for him to feel so cool?
His acting is awful. Period.
Full stop.
Do not continue.
This is a vanity project for male filmmakers to show abuse of women. The co creator is all about it and his downfall from the business can't come soon enough .
I can't with this show.
