  • Beyond Briliant! Can't believe some the early reviewers

This is cerebral storytelling at its finest. The nuances between the two worlds, the similarities, the symbolism, it's beyond brilliance. Those complaining that this episode "doesn't add anything new" or doesn't move the story forward, aren't simply watching closely, maybe they're the ones who just caught the Dark wave without knowing about the break.

  • Stay away from it if you don't like Eddie Murphy

Snapshot: Eddie Murphy delivers and tries to make us laugh in his usual ways

What's Good: Eddie Murphy and Clark Duke have acted very well. The story is unique and is mostly engaging. It also tries to deliver a simple moral message.

What's not so Good: Some might find the running gags to be the "same old thing". There are elements of the story that defy general logic, and you'll have to keep your head aside. Some might also complaint the "moral message" is an overkill

Conclusion: It did make me laugh hard on more than a few occasions. If you try to ignore some moments of slapstick and stop thinking how much you hate Eddie Murphy, you might enjoy this one.

My rating: 3/4, for the general audience: 7/10.

  • It made me laugh......... Again!

Snapshot: It uses the same formula but still generates more than a few laughs.

What's Great: It's funny, there's some decent acting, the story is predictable but fast paced and keeps you engaged.

What's Not So Great: Most people are complaining about how similar Hangover II and I are, it's pretty predictable and it's gross out humor (pretty gross at times :) )

Summary: Go in expecting a movie that is funny, and not something totally fresh like the first one and you might actually enjoy the movie a lot.
