House M.D.: Two Stories (2011)
For those who understand
Firstly, I am not American and secondly I love house. Except for that children starting to sound like adults, I don't see anything wrong with this episode. What astonished me is not the medical mystery. But rather the carefully plotted theme. Firstly, I laughed my brains out by the pulp fiction thing. Also the way director transfer each line from a child to a team member. I think I really appreciate the arguments raised behind this story. Especially, how house got into this situation and why does he use a fake name. The storyline is perfect and makes a lot sense which is much much better than most of the thrillers these days. It also revolves around the classical topic about everyone telling lies. How kids present the argument which should has been raised by an adult. I believe that the relationship piece also make a lot of sense to those who was in the exact situation before. All in all, excellent direct and excellent sty telling.
How I Met Your Mother: Do I Know You? (2008)
Not as good as I expected
I was looking forward to see this episode a long time ago. And I can't believe 45 out 49 voters gave 10 on this episode. My personal favorite episode was slap bet. And this one is not as good. Firstly, I think the relationship between Ted and Stella was too fast. I can't believe Ted was prepared to get married. Maybe the director wanted to finish this show in the future. The story that Stella doesn't like star wars was kinda lame and not funny at all. Marshall became much less fun in this episode. His joke was plain and never did he use his best "innocent" tone while talking. The only saving grace was Barney. He falls in love with Robin. However, I was very confused at the ending. I don't know whether he returns to the man he was. Personally, I thought a new Barney would be more interesting instead of the old one. I hope this bouncing between new and old could really create some contradiction in his personality and bring us more surprising element.
The Onion Movie (2008)
Smart show, different show
This is a really cool show. During the first few minutes, I thought it's just another meaningless show like the scary movie. However, the next few stunts really caught my eyes. The funniest part is the three songs performed by " Melissa cherry". It's just so realistic and those songs were really "good". Another funny part is the one with healthy problem, obesity. The most brilliant part of this show is that it reflected everything in an inappropriate while descent sense which is so different from any other show such like Mad TV. But this is not a perfect show for sure, some of those stories were just pointless and make you want to skip. After all, I think it's really the kind of movie that you want review from time to time.
House M.D.: Meaning (2006)
excellently plotted, however, a little bit predictable
I watched this episode after watching the season finally of season 2 and episode 15,16 of season 4. I have to say that this is the one that brought me the most descent meaning. I knew House would cure the patient just by guessing and i knew that cuddy would be stopped from telling him that he is right. That's why I say that it is predictable. However, it is still an great episode because it shows us we can not always get what we want. House can be always right, even by mere guessing. The reality doesn't work that way. The other interesting of this episode is that House began to run and make every use of his leg which i knew will go back to "stroke" again. House is just like everyone else to some extent since my leg is cured from paralyzing and I was doing the same thing he does on TV. It really remind me of what that filling was like.
