Rick and Morty: Unmortricken (2023)
New paths and direction created in a single episode, thank you very much
What can I say that hasn't been said about this episode, I loved every part of this adventure, finally we can move forward with the witty and deep episodic plots but also entertaining that the series provided, finally they got rid of the tedious plot of "Rick Prime", my God what a bore, it was starting to be tedious to see how the series limited its capacity in seeing Rick catching his enemy, which by the way, was the same but from an alternate universe, a very important theme in the series that thanks to Morty evil we can know that there really are more multiverses than the ones the series showed us, so now they can take advantage of that to create even more crazy and surprising stories, I hope with anxiety that the series finally returns to its peak, I miss that Rick and Morty are genuinely great and that being itself, without bringing plots or ideas so used, can go ahead and be an example to follow for the adult animation.
Rick and Morty: That's Amorte (2023)
Rick and Morty definitely doesn't exist at this point.
It's impressive, I really thought it was possible to move forward with the series ignoring all the bad things it brought in these first few episodes of the season, but definitely after watching the previous episodes from season 1 to 4, it's impossible to feel like I'm watching the same thing. Product, a series that was witty, charismatic, ironic but knew how to be serious, now it's this, plots that don't even reach what is supposed to be science fiction, it doesn't even make sense, it's a level of absurdity that doesn't really produce laughter or entertainment, it's just watching a bad plot for twenty minutes and seeing how in the end they don't learn anything and everything stays exactly the same, but taking away the part where the episodic plot is supposed to be memorable for its plot, not to mention that sequence of more than a minute that was very boring to make time for the episode, do not justify it with the fact that it was to understand how the situation would be resolved, because to begin with I think that such a terrible situation should not have been created in a series with a 9.1 review, the decline came To its greatest point, I don't think there is a solution.
Rick and Morty: Ricktional Mortpoon's Rickmas Mortcation (2022)
I'm not disappointed, I didn't really feel much watching the end of the episode, just an emptiness and uncertainty if the series can improve more in the future
I feel that judging this season for being the first to lack at least one episode of 9.0 or higher rating is unnecessary, because what matters to me is that it managed to have a higher quality More stable than the inconsistent last season. Still, I feel that what for me was so unique, funny and special about this series slowly becomes generic and expected, like Rick's crazy joke at the beginning or at the end of the seasons, or Mr. Poopy pants in the post-credits at the end of the season. Plus I feel a strange feeling that this episode was very similar to inside job in some things, like rick's attitude and reagan's father, or the robot rick and the robot kenedy, but well, this is more of a personal thing. I feel that the development in morty and rick's attitudes and actions are very inconsistent, as they try to develop the characters (especially rick) emotionally, but in the end they throw away 90% of what we thought was changing. About one of the main plots of the episode (Rick's), I think it was absurd, the information we were given in this episode about Rick prime's story is scarce, and I find it annoying that they really make us wait for plots that end up being resolved in the first episode of the next season, I wish they could really innovate, entertain, interest and improve many aspects that the series does not know very well how to deal with, as if they were trying to revive the style of the first seasons but now with problems of ideas, script, humor and an exaggeration of breaking the fourth wall and intelligence, which contradicts a lot to the "development" of Rick. Simply a season finale somewhat empty and with a somewhat desperate plot thread, even repeating 3 damn times the same joke of the perfect fall of the laser swords and at the same time showing as 5 scenarios in the whole episode where Rick is seen investigating what we all wanted to know.
Rick and Morty: A Rick in King Mortur's Mort (2022)
If you think this episode is bad, but the pilot doesn't, you just don't want to accept that the show isn't on the wane.
This episode was one of the ones that made me laugh the most of the season, although past characters or ideas are being recycled, it's not a bad thing, because they did it in an excellent way. Retake the type of plots like that of past seasons, simple, sufficiently creative and that attract the viewer with their ingenuity, stupidity and personality of the protagonists, it is something quite good to show that the series is not in decline, because they are only taking a break from the serious or "important" in the history of the series, I'm just saying that even if the episode isn't a masterpiece, it's entertaining and memorable, at least for me.
