The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn't Kill (2021)
The action scenes were way better than what I was expecting
I loved the most:
- the action scenes, the best I have scene in a Japanese movie, and one of the best I have seen period. The main action scene reminded me a bit of The Raid, an excellent movie by the way
- the comedy, but I have to say that I am used to Japanese humor, and I like it
- some characters, especially the bad guy that makes you really hate him, and the boss that is really funny
The scenario not that good in my opinion, a bit confusing, but not to the point of making the movie uninteresting. Maybe it was just me not being focused enough, I have to watch it again to see if I maintain this criticism or not.
Sanyangeui sigan (2020)
Guns are everywhere, but this movie is about human relationships
The action is nice, the heist scene very enjoyable, but this isn't the real interest of the movie. I enjoyed this movie for how good it is at portraying the friendship between the protagonists. Watching the group of friends reunite, interact with each other and dream together is heartwarming. Then when things go south, a whole new spectrum of feelings take the scene, a heartbreaking one. I especially enjoyed (and cried at) the end, showing you how regrets made the dream become a tasteless paradise.
I found acting really good, and there are some really good shots in the movie. The only thing I disliked is how wounds don't seem to matter much in this movie.
Baegabondeu (2019)
Breaks the suspension of disbelief aaaaall the time
The more you go in the series, the more writers just break all and any logic to justify their situations. So if you are looking for a good and plausible story, this series is not for you.
On the good side, the representation of Morocco, although not as accurate as I was hoping, is better than maybe most American movies/series.
