La scuola cattolica (2021)
Harsh reality, no fantasy!
Don't expect any entertainment in this movie as it shows harsh reality. In the beginning the movie is very boring as it focuses on the early school life of the 3 perprators. The actual movie begins in last 30 mins when they commit the heinous crime. It also shows that crime is not related to poverty, or lack of education. A criminal becomes criminal because of other reasons- most basic being the mindset. These 3 men were well educated & from elite families but still they committed such a shocking crime. As for us girls, it's a lesson not to believe any strangers or go out with them thinking that they are from a good family, they can't be criminal. It's sad to know that in reality 2 out of the 3 criminals are free, living their life like a normal person while Donatella (the girl out of the 2 victims who was alive) died of breast cancer at age of 47. Another shocker is one of the criminal Angelo Izzo was released in 2005 for 'good conduct' & then he murdered 2 more women, only to be sentenced again. As for Rosaria, the girl who dies, her parents didn't Sue them for an exchange of £100 m, such a shame! That's the money they think is enough for life of the daughter taken by these monsters. It's after this incident that sexual violence against a person was considered as a crime in Italy.
Out of Love: Collateral Damage (2021)
Marvellous
Just finished watching the finale episode which was a mix jar of emotions, I can relate to Abhi's character much bcz my parents seperated when I was around 2 & later divorced in my teen years, it was a really hard time for me although I never took step what Abhi did which was suicide attempt. In the series When both the parents realise their mistakes & they do what can bring comfort to their child feeling hollow, we can see a lonesome Meera doing another sacrifice for her child by saying goodbye to Rohan who would have otherwise taken Abhi's dad's place, I feel pity for Meera because in the entire journey she fought alone & towards the end also she stands alone, although she has her son. The series was very addictive as I used to wait eagerly each Friday for a fresh episode. Sadly this is the end of story as it seems. Enjoyed watching both seasons.
Babumoshai Bandookbaaz (2017)
Masterpiece
I am actually shocked to see so many negative reviews for this gem. This movie made me realise that such a star performer Nawazuddin is & how underrated he is. The character played by Nawazuddin is like a clever cobra who may play naive but will bite you any moment without giving you time to realise it. The movie is engaging & unfolds many twists & turns. Overall a big thumbs up from me 👍🏻
Guzaarish (2010)
Definitely an Oscar winning movie
*spoilers alert*
The movie was released in 2010 but sadly I watched it in 2021 just because during its release just like most of our indian audience I was also in influence of the big stars who donned indian cinema & the movie wasn't a hit so sadly I didnt watch (I was a kid afterall that time) but now that I'm mature enough that I appreciate good cinema I decided to watch it & this time also Sanjay Leela Bhansali did the magic he never fails to do, his cinematography is something I cannot put in words. The performances of both Hrithik & Aishwarya are marvelous, where Hrithik is a soul for the movie, Aishwarya fills it with love & heart. This is one of the most underrated performance of Hrithik & belive me if this movie was made in Hollywood it would have definitely bagged an Oscar but sadly in bollywood good actors & good movies are never appreciated to the edge. Anyway, I would like to describe here a scene, during Ethan (Hrithik)'s mom's farewell when he sings the song his mom once sang for a audience during Christmas to earn some money, that time Hrithik was a young boy, people started throwing paper balls at her saying this song is boring & now during the funeral same song & people are throwing white roses at her grave. I mean wow, I don't know how many people notice it but that was just amazing. The only thing I don't like about Bhansali is that he makes movies with sad endings, I'm still waiting if he can make a movie with happy ending but I guess that's not going to happen...
Welcome Home (2020)
Chilling & killing!!
Brace yourself to see raw cinema, natural actors who will make you feel that you are living moment to moment with them. You will actually feel the tention going on & will forget that it's a movie. This movie is definitely not for people 18 below & not for adults who have weak heart. Some of the scenes are so raw & real looking that you have to close your eyes as you can't see through ... Sadly what they have shown is based on a true story. We don't need ghosts to scare us as human is the most dangerous animal on this planet. Must watch for psy thriller lovers.
Psycho (2020)
Disaster thriller
The story line was good but the movie was kind of boring as some of the scenes were too stretched & some of the incidents were without any logic.
