Knack II (2017)
IS A MADTAPEECEE BAYBEEE
Knack 2 is one of the single greatest achievements all of mankind has ever achieved. With inspired symbolism and complex, emotional characters, this truly is deserves the recognition of the greatest game of all time.
Still not as good as Super Mario Bros. 2
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
Not as Good as the Others
Very Minor Spoilers Ahead.
For this review, I will go through the movie's three acts, and whether I liked or disliked them.
Firstly, the Jabba's Palace scene was pretty fun, as long as you don't think about it, like at all. What was their plan? It makes very little sense. I know this has been said before, but it is a genuine problem. However, it is fun so I don't hate it, just wish it was better thought out.
Next, the Ewok Village on Endor. I personally don't hate the Ewoks as much as everyone else, but I don't like them either. I find them to be mildly annoying and wish they weren't in the movie. I found myself to be bored a lot throughout this chunk of the movie, as there were very little actually interesting things going on. Overall, not very good and slightly boring.
Lastly, the duel between Luke and Vader. This is amazing. Easily the best part of the whole movie. Has the best "character" scenes and maybe the best lightsaber fight in the entire Saga. It ends in a satisfying and climactic way that left me with a smile on my face. Great.
I do have other flaws with the movie, but if I were to list them all, I'd be here all day.
Overall, the movie is just pretty good. Not bad but not as fantastic as its two predecessors.
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Possibly the Greatest Sequel in Cinema History
This film is just pure awesome, for kids, adults, and everyone in between.
Anyone can watch it and get something out of it; for the kids it's the cool worlds and weird-looking creatures, for teens, it's all the cool explosions and action scenes, and adults can enjoy all the character development and darker themes this movie has to offer.
This really is a magical movie.
Star Wars (1977)
It's Star Wars, of Course it's Amazing!
What can I say that hasn't been said before?
It's insanely fun and simple to understand, yet has enough great characters and charm to keep even the oldest entertained through its entirety.
It practically created the blockbuster and it will always hold a special place in my (and many other's) heart.
Joker (2019)
A really good movie with a few problems
Minor Spoilers Ahead:
This film has a lot of fantastic things in it: the score, the characters and especially the acting are all amazing.
The biggest problem I have with this movie are some of the scenes that tie into the greater Batman Universe. They are mostly poorly written and feel out of place in this movie.
The only thing I liked about these ties to the Batman Universe was Thomas Wayne and his subplot, which I felt really pushed Arthur's character in a great direction.
Overall, I did really like almost everything about this movie, it's just that there were a few scenes that took me out of it.
