I just finished the second episode and I think that's it for me.
The main character is flat and completely uncharismatic. I understand that he is supposed to be on the spectrum (I presume) but that doesn't mean the character has to be so incredibly boring!
The story is just coming across as really silly. It may turn out there really are some big ideas coming, but I'm not sticking around to find out.
Other than the overhead scenes of Cambridge University, the rest of the series has pretty subpar production values. Even the opening credits are uninspired.
I'm still giving this 4.5/10 because I suppose it qualifies as mediocre. But mediocre isn't enough to make me keep going as there are too many other options on TV and streaming.

I initially was going to rate Conclave 9 out of 10, but Ralph Fiennes acting was so spectacular, I had to bump it up to a 10 out of 10. He is so compellings; his emotions and the heavy weight of his responsibility oozes off the screen.
This is a movie you need to watch without distractions, so you can just be fully absorbed in the building tension. I had no idea where this was gonna go. I had no idea who would be the next Pope.
The acting, across the board, was phenomenal. The writing was award-worthy in my opinion. And the soundtrack and cinematography were also quite good.
Additionally, on a personal level, I found the aspects of the Catholic Church and the process of a conclave really interesting, as it isn't a topic I know much about.
Overall, a movie I would highly recommend!

I really don't understand why the filmmaker chose to focus about 90% of this movie on the title character's last week of life. Jolie, as Maria Callas, is stone-faced, wooden and morose, drudging around Paris for a majority of screen time. The little spots of backstory were refreshing, but very sparse.
A few positives:
> I enjoyed the musical selections. I downloaded the album and have been listening to all of the musical pieces repeatedly.
> The costumes and visuals are quite beautiful.
> Out of all the characters, the butler and maid were the most compelling on screen.
Overall though, a very disappointing film.
