Stranger Things: Chapter Four: Dear Billy (2022)
The Last 5 Minutes are Golden
Cinematically enthralling and emotionally captivating. If you have been to hell before or been through the ringer, the last 5 minutes are so beautifully captured. The entire scene with the music is so well done it literally left me breathless because of how it leaves you at the edge of your seat. It is very metaphorical for the darkness one goes through in the world and how it could really go either way at times. And THAT character solidified their status as my favorite🙌🏼 the darkness closing in only with the hope of memories and friends as a saving grace. So beautiful.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022)
Keep Them Coming!
If you grew up with the Sonic Franchise, you will find something to love in this movie! Great humor for kids AND adults. Iconic characters Knuckles and Tales are added to the mix. Who ever is the Casting Director for this franchise needs a promotion! They nail every single casting, even the voice acting for all of the characters is top notch and aligns with the characters roots. I really hope Jim returns for Sonic 3 and doesn't retire. He fits the role of Eggman perfectly. I can't really think of another actor that would really take on a role and be this zany and actually be able to pull it off. Bigger, Bolder, and massively takes a next step to set up future movies!
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
This is a love letter to Spider-Man Fans
This movie delivers on so many levels. Action, emotion, story, and character building are all very strong highlights without getting into any details.
This movie solidifies Tom Hollands Spider-man trilogy as one of the greatest trilogies of all time in regards to fans and critics reviews alike. Very strong performances by Zendaya and Jacob as well, you can really sense the true friendship the three of them share. The return of the most iconic villains in the franchise history also provides some awesome fan service.
My one and only complaint is I wish the trailers did not reveal as much as they did, they did not need to show all of the villains coming back prior to the movies release. They should have kept it more under wraps, but I get it, they wanted to sell box office tickets. Go see this in theaters to experience this special event with everyone!
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Would be a 10 but....
Main character is completely unlikeable by the end of the story. Other than that the show is awesome with the games and side characters.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Don't Underdstand the hate...
The original movie was a good movie as well, but people act like it was amazing and is an instant classic purely for the nostalgia factor. The Looney Toons carry this sequel, the comedy really comes from their dialogue and animations. Lebron and his fam do a decent job at conveying a great message to young fathers raising children in this generation, even though it may come off as cheesy to some. Overall, highlights include seeing the Looney Toons back on the big screen with some comedic moments, aka the Mad Max scene, and a good message at the end. Don't understand the hate behind including the other warner bro franchises.
WandaVision: Previously On (2021)
Its Official
Scarlett Witch should be one of the main faces of Marvel moving forward. Elizabeth Olsen completely embodies her character, and her acting is some of the best we have seen in the universe thus far. This show continues to amaze me and solidifies Wandas status as the leading woman in the Marvel universe. Hand her the reigns!
Servant: 2:00 (2021)
The Complete Unravelling of Dorothy Turner
At the beginning of this show, you think Dorothy is a pristine mother who has had unfortunate luck and Sean is a jerk of a husband. As the show progresses you slowly realize Dorothy is the real monster, and her demons are on full display in this episode. This show is an artistic view of parenthood, particularly dealing with aspects of abuse, neglect and coping with grief. This is an amazing slow burner and its not meant for people who enjoy hollow horror, sorry to break it to you.
King Kong (2005)
Cult Classic
I remember watching this movie for the first time as a child 15 years ago. Today, I would regard this movie as a Cult Classic. Compared to the most recent adaption, Skull Island, Kong (2005) is better in almost every regard. Jack Black's performance as uncanny director and the memorable finale make this movie instantly iconic.
Servant: Pizza (2021)
Checkmate B****
You know you wanted a taste of Seans pizza after this one. Dorothy seems like she is in endgame already so we can only imagine whats going to happen the rest of the season.
Servant: Jericho (2020)
Television Gold
Despite any doubts you may have, this episode delivers on every note. Slow-Burn devastation at its finest. Each character anchors the show at different times. You will be uncomfortable in your skin.
Servant: Spaceman (2021)
One of the Best Episodes Yet
This is what the fans are waiting for right!? Between the scene in the basement and Dorothys "final testimony" this show is continuing to shock me. If you realllly try to place yourself in their situation, and imagine if Dorothy's actions actually happened in real life, the show gets that much better.
Servant: Doll (2021)
WE ARE BACK
Already counting down the minutes until the next episode. The dialogue in this show literally makes my jaw drop sometimes, queue the scene at the end where Dorothy and Shaun are arguing . This season is about to get CRAZY.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
You Will Cry
As a Star Wars fan, you couldn't have asked for a better episode. This is the best thing they have put out since 1977. Cheers.
