Just awful seriously... it was that bad

I love Kevin Hart but wow was this the worst movie ever. Seemed like a movie lacking any real direction or guidance along the way I understand the free flowing concept but it was executed so poorly it lost any value early on and never got it back and yes I watched the entire horrible train-wreck. Do not do this to yourself, pass, Hard Pass on this mess.

I would suggest a spinal tap over this. Or perhaps find the nearest traffic jam and jump in and spend some time breathing the vapors, all of this will be less painful.

And once again I love Kevin Hart, just was not the right movie. Hope we get something better than this soon.

The Bricklayer (2023)

I love the star I watched it because he is a cool guy. He did a great job but it is not enough to save this. I am also a fan of Renny Harlin, really love most all of work too. But this movie stunk. Awful...But don't believe me look at the numbers Cost 24 Million made less than a Half million. Gotta tell ya something. I hated the attempt to video game first shooter a movie. Had a TV feel to it. Felt so weak the acting was mostly crap. It just felt flawed in every way. Sad thing is the potential to be a great movie is here. They did something wrong, it was in the hands of some of the wrong people for so many things direction maybe, editing for sure, camera work at times what were those camera angles?, just so many things. Potential to be great was just missed. I even like the potential I saw in the sets and some of the story, the sad part is they wasted a chance to make a cool movie. Instead the came sliding out of them and now we need air freshener. Please never make this mistake again. Aaron and Renny deserve better.

Berlin (2023– )

Not like the previous ones

So much wasted time filled with nothing but soap opera like dialogue I seriously fell asleep. There was some cool scenes but man took forever to get to one. All this yip yap about some thing that meant something to someone but not me...So look the Berlin character was a super smart guy before clever and witty and now he is just some horny dude. We get to see a few cool scenes and then he is chasing tail the entire time it just stunk.

The people that made this lost their edge.

Get the other people that made the others back and make a new set of at least kind of interesting shows. These are a big turd in the punch bowl.

Seriously it reminds me of sitting around a campfire telling people stories trying to get them to react while you are shining a flashlight at your face. The music choices were as$ too. I would not watch the entire thing I had to fast forward past all of soap opera stuff. The reason I am so emotional and such. Who cares give us a story that we care about not that garbage.

Really poor decisions were made to make this disaster episode 5 was such a waste of my time it made me so mad I had to take a walk. Now I don't know where I am so am writing this while I wait for the bus.

Don't make this same mistake you may not make it home if you do. Just sayin.

The Last of Us (2023– )

way too much hype this was boring

Boring, waste of time, what a dud. I started to try to watch this and thought this might be interesting. Welp I was wrong. So turned it off, You lost me. The show that was nothing short of a major disappointment. Extremely overrated and I do not see it, The show is a major disappointment. Completely, jumped the shark.

From start to finish, it was a dull and boring experience, failing to capture my interest or hold my attention. I would rate it a meager one star. I feel like I rated it too high, sorry about that.

The premise of the show may have started with a mildly intriguing notion, in the long run it lacked creativity. The characters were poorly developed and lacked depth, making it difficult to connect with them or care about their stories. The dialogue was stiff and unnatural, lacking the spark that makes good television so engaging.

The show's pace was painfully slow, with long stretches of inactivity that dragged on without end. The plot was predictable and lacked any real sense of tension or excitement. I found myself checking my watch repeatedly, counting down the minutes until it was over.

The production value had potential and then still found a way to ultimately come up short. The lighting had interesting moments, and then overall it was flat and uninteresting, and the special effects started out kind of interesting and ultimately were underwhelming. The music was forgettable and failed to add any real impact to the scenes. Forgettable.

The TV show was a waste of time. I cannot recommend it to anyone, regardless of their personal taste in television. It was dull, boring, lacking the elements that make good television so enjoyable. If you're looking for something to watch, I would suggest you look elsewhere, as this show is not worth your time or attention.

Rhubarb (1951)

One of my Faves, delivers the wholesomeness of a Disney Classic

Really at a loss for words, Love the movie. It has a great, happy vibe. I love cats, Love Sports, and I love Black n White classics. This delivers all of them. Fun for the entire family. I wish movies could still give us all of these qualities. I watch this any time I see it. For me one of the best.

Started with hope and ended up not liking this

Started with hope and ended up not liking this, I actually kinda hated this, trying to do the twisted universe thing gets lost in singing and oddness and shouting and fights. All the shouting by the crazy woman really made me hate the show. Just could not wait to turn it off. When I saw the entire thing, I felt like I wanted my time back. Do yourself a favor, pass.

Love Potion No. 9 (1992)

Fun movie with a fantasy concept

When I first saw this movie, I thought, "This is not gonna be my cup of tea." The fantasy concept and the way the story unfolds pulled me in. I enjoyed it. Great escape and I enjoyed the subtleties of the film. It's great when someone makes a comment, and then they zoom in to the object being mentioned like a couch, or when someone mentions how attractive someone is and the folks standing around are making facial expressions of disbelief. It's not a 10, but it has a charm about it. I am a fan. I enjoy lighthearted fare.

The story had potential but it was not realized. and why does Liz have red eyes through this episode it was very distracting. Just not the normal expectations being met in this episode it seemed like it was very perfunctory. This left me scratching my head about the reasons, seems like the editing was off and possibly the direction? I forgive the series because this is one of the best series I have ever seen. I love the show, but this one. Pass.

So let me see where to begin here? This was not great. It is slow AF. The sound effects and some of the audio elements were good and this was in color. There are glints of acting present but note it does not quite make the mark. The story had potential and at moments almost made it to the point of not being boring but overall it was mostly like a sound machine next to the bed to fall asleep to. I actually had to re-watch to see what I missed while snoozing. Great to chat on social media to and occasionally check in on then this is the one for you. If you want to be entertained then you may want to keep scanning for something else. The folks involved with making this seemed like they really wanted to be atmospheric and or suspenseful or even scary but somehow it ended up being more of a meh. Just really did not do any of the things that it seemed like it was going to do. I read reviews that were way more entertaining here than this could ever hope to be. The folks that scored it high see things in a different way for sure. The folks that scored it lower seemed more like myself in their views. So the next time you have a scrape or a scratch or an itch that you can't scratch remember that's sort of like the way this will most likely leave you feeling. Just kinda rubbing around on the carpet asking out-loud, "Why?"

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017–2023)

Season 1 thumbs up Season 2 not so much

So the show had charm and wit and was interesting in Season 1. Season 2 is like a never ending stream of empty vapid cacophony. What made the show is gone. It feels like the wrong decision makers decided to make it an award entry submission for like costumes and junk that does NOT make a rewarding watch in a show. Seems so empty and lost, like a group of the best writers got canned maybe? The show lost its appeal. Binge season 1 and leave it there. Season two is a massive disappointment. Seems like they are trying to set the tone for a prequel to dirty dancing or something else here but it leaves me searching for other entertainment. BTW the reviews on here have a suspicious similarity. Like they were not written entirely by us common folks, like there is an agenda here. Amazon seems to be curating our own responses here. Shame on you guys that stinks.

Wow something is rotten in season two. First season had charm and was really funny. Season two has some form of dysfunction. This is not working for me. Seems the editing and the focus on the Mom (Stinks) The show has lost it's way. This is when they typically start saying the show has "Jumped the shark". I was really looking forward to the show and now I must admit I am disappointed. Seems like someone that was important to the writing staff has moved on? What made the show outstanding seems to be gone. Over. sad. I miss it.

Homecoming (2018–2020)

enjoying the show but the sound is a problem

The soundtrack and audio people should never work again they are not pros. The audio mix is OFF and simply ruins the experience. Not a fan of this mess. The show is ok I enjoyed the story and I know it is suppose to make me feel something. It did, that's why I am writing this review so when you hear all the high pitched treble in the soundtrack just remember told ya so.

City in the Sea (1965)

War-Gods of the Deep was the title when I saw this

If I could talk like Vincent Price could I would talk to myself all the time, out loud and I would probably get an MC Job or be a radio announcer. That guys voice was like audio gold. War Gods of the deep began with the narration that only Vincent Price could manage to deliver. He was a treasure and he is missed. The movie fits a model of the time period this was created. Do not expect any more than that and you will have an enjoyable time. I enjoyed the nostalgic vibe and the somewhat campy and predictable presentation. Not the worlds most advanced movie or soundtrack but it was fun if you let it be what it is and go with it a little bit. It did not try to be pretentious, it allowed Vincent to be who he is and do what he did best. The "Hen" was named Herbert...soooo...you see where this is going. But, A good time can be had, we enjoyed this.

Smart People (2008)

I saw it for free and I still want my money back

This was not a great movie, not by any stretch. I kept waiting for it to get good and it never did. Don't let them fool you into thinking your time spent watching this will be rewarded with anything of any value because it is simply not here. The cast lured me in because I enjoy all of them and they are all lovely people but this movie somehow just never came together. It is my opinion that I could have spent this time better cleaning the oven or some other dreaded task. I only came here to try to save you the same fate that I encountered. Use the time for something else like checking the tire pressure on every household item. Clean out the fridge perhaps? But do not waste the time I did on this.

What a waste of time. Spare yourself this is junk. One of the worst things ever put on a DVD. Yuck. Bad from top to bottom words fail to express how weak this was. Now it may be great for some folks but it was just not my cup of tea. I couldn't get into it and even though I left it playing I found it would not keep me interested the story was not presented in a way that worked for me.

Not a fan and would tell any friend this is not the one you seek.

Just awful, so bad I feel ashamed to admit I saw this. P-U this stunk really bad. I feel like somebody owes me a refund for the time wasted on this. Look I like B movies sometimes when they are kinda good. Sc- Fi...Love it when it doesn't suck. This was so bad it really just is unwatchable. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.

Power Rangers (2017)

Wish it had been worth watching

I actually did see some of the originals they were fun. Just was not feeling this disaster. Such a shame. THis seemed like one long Krispy Kreme commercial so that's where the budget came from for this mess. If I were them I would ask for my money back. Yuk. Some of the kids had acting skills and a great look but beyond a video game like look and feel it was just a video game that you are not allowed to play in or a marketing ad that just runs continuously as a marketing ploy for toys maybe? It missed the mark as a movie by as much as a movie could miss the mark. I was excited to see it and then in short order I regretted the choice. Stuck in there till the end but it was not fun. This may be a fun escape for young kids but as a movie it seems like a group of different people with differing views on how the story should go were involved. Instead of breaking out a list of flaws and errors lets just say this was not for me and I just don't see how these people that made this thought they did it right? Sad. This is a swing and a miss kind of fail. Can always find a better use for the time that was wasted on this.

Yuk. Another waste of time. The flaws are too numerous to list but let me save you some time, wait for it to be on TV or something you can leave it on while you doze off or do something more fun. Just not a believable movie the story is weak the acting is amateur hour you can't get the time wasted on this back. You would get a better show from your kids than this. I love Arnold's movies back in the day but he can't seem to get a good role these days. I miss him. Re-watch one of the good old Arnie movies this one is a dud. Yawn

Pacific Heights (1990)

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. I like the actors and I like the director but in this effort they all dropped the ball. This was a flop. Too many B.S. liberties taken with real laws in an attempt to create a "Story" this is a waste of time. Save yourself some time and do something else in the time you would have watched this garbage, I already did it for you and I want the time back. This movie stunk.

Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Really let me down

The first was so much fun and so good. This one...what happened? This was just bad. I hope you don't waste your time hoping for a fun time this is just a bad movie. Not sure how it went so far off track but I did not like it and felt bad while I was watching it. It seemed like a bad imitation of a movie. There are some great actors in this movie so how did it end up this bad? Even the great actors seemed to be really fake when they acted, it was not believable. I was not interested for a majority of the movie and it seemed to take forever to go anywhere, when it did make a point it was a let down. Overall this just didn't work. I really enjoyed the first movie, this one left me frustrated.

What a shame to get this much star power in a movie with a cool premise for a story and then to do this? Wow this is like take it out back and shoot it bad. So many issues I do not know where to begin but I will say that the director left so many options to make this a great movie but just left huge holes in the scenes wow so bad. My shock at how poorly the female lead completely failed to act up to the level of the male leads. She was just not here for her job when this was filmed. What a waste. The story had potential it just failed hard, fell flat on its face. What a shame.
