Not a laugh riot but I did find some stuff fun. Mostly the comic Easter eggs and the various D list Marvel villains. I do find Super-Adaptoid being sassy funny. The story is basic and doesn't appear to really matter. Not great but not terrible.
Fun Marvel Easter eggs. A fair amount of funny jokes. Plenty of bad jokes. It moves fast. Plot doesn't matter. Voice actors are good. Animation is fun.
I like American Dad Big Mouth F is for family. And Robot Chicken. There lay my humor. So i mean this strange family problems and M. O. D. O. K in need of ,,,to be best at everything.
I like this show. Hopeing there will be a new season😀

At first I want to say that I laughed a lot, twice. And for me that is a lot. I like the animation style and Modok can be a very interesting character. But I think the show and his story is okay and nice to watch, that is the point, I watched the last two month's to many animated series that are better, for example Invincible,Rick and Morty, Archer,Solar Opposite and they all are 8-10 so this show is a little bit worse than this so *7*.
I was super excited when I came across this on hulu. I'm huge Marvel buff and always liked M. O. D. O. K's character. Upon watching though while I did think it was decent, I definitely was let down.
First I want to make a point that this show is very comparable to Robot Chicken therefore you're going to have people who hate it or love it, because of that style of humor. I personally think Hulu dropped ball choosing this direction because I think if it went more of a Family Guy route it'd been much better reviewed.
The show has its share of giggles but theres almost zero laugh out loud moments. The story also meanders around with no clear direction. With all that said, the episodes are short and it isn't a bad time killer. Just don't go into with high hopes and you'll have decent time.

1990' was the decade of making every comic character as serious and somber as possible
2010's until today was the decade to make them all clowns
If MODOK was the first to try it, it would be a 10 star show But as a cliche, it has it's moments, and that's it.

MODOK has all the potential to be as funny as animated Harley Quinn if they'd just had him enacting hair-brained schemes against various Marvel heroes and running amok with a handful of faithful AIM lackeys that die in every episode.
Instead, he has a wife and two kids that are so boring I kinda wished something bad would happen to them so I could dredge up some care from Lake Give-a-crap.
The jokes, if that's what you want to call them, are not funny. (They weren't funny the first time we heard em on Robot Chicken 10 years ago, Seth Green. Stop writing these lame a-- jokes.) The voice cast is actually pretty good but you can't make an unfunny joke funny with a pretty voice. But they try, they really do.
I made it through 3 episodes before I called it quits. Really, there's no long, philosophical reason why this show sucks. It's just boring and not funny.

(Pure Adorable Talent, Targeting Only the Niche)
Sadly Oswalt and Blum's extremely specific take on one of the more outlandish Marvel villains flew over the gigantic heads of many but I absolutely adored it. Much sharper than the visually similar Robot Chicken, beautifully animated and with a fantastic cast - M. O. D. O. K. Manages to wander that fine line between affectionate parody and strangely solid sitcom on its own terms. Recasting the MCU as a stop motion adult animation with some beautifully obscure nods to the canon. It shouldn't have worked and sadly it appears not to have done for quite a few people but it absolutely did it for me. Easily the best Marvel TV show in 2021.

Granted I am not a huge comic book fan, nor do I care about the nitty gritty details, but I happened to find this show quite funny. It was just the dumb humor that made me chuckle. Isn't Citizen Kane or anything but I was able to sit back and enjoy. Not much else to add.
I was so excited for this show, MODOK is one of my favourite villains from the comics and the style looked really fun but I put it on and I struggled through the first 10 minutes alone. It's humour is way too on the nose and just not that funny. It's a shame because the voice cast is immensely talented and the animation is clean but they can't save the writing which is just an absolute mess. It will no doubt have it's admirers as I'm not going to try and act like humour isn't subjective but it's certainly not my cup of tea. Maybe I'll come back at some point and find a new appreciation but as of right now? I'm disappointed.
Thanks for reading my review, wether you agreed with it or not.

Not sure if it's that everyone loves to tear good things down, or a general lack of a sense of humor, but, I don't get all the negative reviews here. This show is funny. Let it grow on you, like a glorious fungus.

First of all a majority of the jokes are funny the animation is great I love the voices Ben Swartz Patton Oswald and many more so far I think it deserves a pg-13 rating I like it ok? I also like robot chicken !
Patton Oswald and Seth green are partners in crime.

I've watched 7 episodes now, and I giggled twice. Not even a single full laugh at all. When you compare this to a good animated series like Futurama, then it's simply completely devoid of comedy. With Futurama, I used to laugh at least once per episode... this MODOK series is a waste of time, money and Marvel's IP.
Why did Marvel even give these people the time, money and rights to make this series? Their previous works are devoid of comedy as well.... Buddy Thunderstruck, Camp WWE, etc. All devoid of comedy. Why did Marvel even give these people the time of day? Who at Marvel did Patton Oswald blow to get MODOK approved?

My first impression was awful, but as i progressed down to the of the first episode i was like ok let's see what happens, curiosity made me finish this not cause i liked it.
But it wasn't all that bad.

I had no idea who MODOK was except big head shoots laser....hmmm ok maybe I did. Regardless I set myself for disappointment but luckily for me I got to binge this in 2days. This is not a show good plot wise, its more comedic weird things. However this show has a few moments boring long dialogue with no jokes, no information of value so its a 7 from me.
There is no plot. He never seems to continue his goal, AIM does nothing, and the show drags on.

The show is an extremely good representation of M. O. D. O. K in comic form and to be fair, the whole Marvel Universe from the comics, matching tones and personalities really well. However, it's not for everyone - it's humour is very much that of Robot Chicken sprinkled with a bit of Patton Oswalt's humour that you see in his stand-up and if that's not your thing, this isn't either.
The show doesn't have any laugh out loud moments but it does well for a series with long form storylines as a goal and will make you giggle throughout. It's definitely worth the watch.

I thought it was pretty funny. The voice acting is good, the plots are hilarious and crazy.

I throughly enjoyed this Robot Chicken-lite Marvel adventure. I'm a little surprised Disney even did this given the violence/gore/swearing shown throughout this series. It doesn't feel Disney-esc, more like a Netflix show. It definitely is, "what could the creators of Robot Chicken do with money and enough time to do a story?" And since Seth Green is an executive producer; it does make sense as to why this is so Robot Chicken-ie. Ignore the far right reviews where they only score to appease their low self-worth and enjoy this for what it is. It won't be for everyone but the people who don't watch the entire season and feel the need to put their 2 cents in are very uninformed. Those that watched it but didn't like it, fine to each their own. But at least they watched it.
This show is not bad, but it's just weak. The plot is weak, and it's just not funny. The writers though clearly think they are funny, bc you can tell moments are supposed to be funny, but it just completely falls flat. Don't get me wrong, there are moments that will make you laugh, but it is far from a comedy and you might laugh once every 2 episodes.
The characters are meh, I started to like them the more I watched but even then I just didn't care that much. It's not a bad watch, especially if you have literally nothing else to watch but I do think it's far from a must watch.

Painful "humour" made this a struggle to watch. Gets 3 stars for casting and production. It'd get one or two more if Patton Oswalt wasn't in it.
It's like they made a whole series out of a Robot Chicken script that they found in the trash.

If you like Patton, you'll like this show. I only rated it a 10 to bring up its rating, but this show is a solid 8. If you like Robot Chicken, Rick & Morty, and similar type shows, you will like this show. If you do not like crude "adult" humor, fake blood, or Patton Oswalt, then you will not like this show. While I'm pretty sure this is not Marvel canon, it is a show that pokes fun at the Marvel Universe while not taking itself too seriously. If you want a serious show that makes you think, this is not that either. If you want some fun mindless entertainment, then M. O. D. O. K. Is for you! Enjoy it with an open mind ;)

Find it hard, but feel a need to see it through.
It is funny, the pretense of a loser villain who is not much good at anything. There are some fun characterisations, but it comes up as meh.
