I highly recommend seeing this series. The acting is definitely warm and it´s refreshing to watch a series with less focus on violence and more on love. Problems appear but they are solved. It´s a feel good-series, and the nudity is definitely not mal-placed or without logic. It is done beautifully, both the acting, filming and storyline. And I keep getting surprised of the twists the story takes.
The series have strong female characters and strong male characters. There is balance, no forced feminism. And nor the male or female characters are being judged for life for their mistakes. They are all HUMAN!
It is refreshing to see spanish series where being naked is as normal as making dinner. For both genders! Something to think about these days when every other actress feel the need to play victim/politically correct and "regret" doing nude-scenes a few years earlier in their career, after making it big.
The music is very good too, and I find myself falling in love with characters that in the first place annoyed me.
Poor yourself a drink and watch it!

The pier is a show that promises a lot, but ends up delivering fairly little. There are many exciting questions about living a double life. Can both be real; or is there a more real one? Can you do it and stay sane at the same time? How comes that people close to you do not notice it? This is where the show starts off, and it presents a somewhat credible base story with decent acting. Some of the side stories are overdone, but they are still OK. The bad thing is that unfortunately the dialogue is often poor, and the reason it really hurts is because the whole shows is dragged out much too long. I felt that a 6-episode miniseries would have been more than enough, then I had to learn in episode eight that the producers would probably like to make another season. It is not worth that much.
I liked all in these 8 episodes
The photography, the acting, the directing and of course the story around these men and women in today's Spain.
The story captured my attention form beginning to end.
I hope there will be more episodes.

My wife and I are series enthusiasts. We dive into the series and the rule is: if it is interesting in the first quarter ... continue. If not abandoned ... well ... we couldn't help this series ... interesting, different, with a taste of more. Interesting characters, diving into the tangles of the twisting mind and hovering over strata of conventions. Don't miss out!
I can't believe all the bad reviews. I loved this story and the characters. I do agree that it could have been told in one season, however I was sad to see it end. It was a beautiful love story that shows how tragedy can bring people together.
