Cool fight scenes.
cruise0118 September 2019
3.5 out of 5 stars.

Episode delivers some cool action fight scenes. Now with a female line up with the Canaries fighting with the bad guys. Does make this episode exciting and cool. Fresh with the pace. The flash forward is still interesting. But the story is lacking.

They could take the black canary on the right path. It seemed that they were not going to achieve it.

Goodbye Black Siren

Warning: Spoilers
Although it was a filler episode, I loved it. It was emotional the farewell of Laurel on his return to Earth-2. The action scenes with Sara, Dinah and Laurel are excellent, I missed White Canary. The final scene with the flashforward was unexpected, I guess we'll see Laurel as Black Canary in season 8. Thanks Katie Cassidy for playing a very good villain, I think the role of Black Siren fits her better than Earth-1's Laurel.

Birds of a feather...
highmarksreviews16 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
We are rapidly approaching the climax of season seven and once again, I was skeptical about an episode. Why risk losing the impressive momentum of The Ninth Circle invasion to a Black Siren-centric Birds of Prey chapter? It seemed as if "Lost Canary" was going to be a sizeable misstep on several fronts, yet I found myself genuinely enjoying it. There I said it. I loved seeing the Canaries in action. Despite some expected cheese and inconsistencies, it's an episode I will at least remember for being so unique and energetic. That's a good thing.

As far as the aforementioned cheese went, it's best to get that out of the way first. While this was, dare I say, one of Arrow's better written episodes, Shadow Thief (Carmel Amit) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy-Rodgers) didn't exactly have great chemistry or strong lines to reinforce their interactions. Shadow Thief's whole design (cool knives aside) was kind of lame and her character didn't leave too big of an impression. She served her part as a vehicle to send Laurel to the dark side and back to the light. Come to think of it, Laurel's quick-switch between being good and bad felt rushed, but ultimately understandable given the conditions she was put in and the length of the episode. Moreover, her final appearance in a particularly well-done flash-forward storyline solidifies her as a hero, which is fitting.

Sara (Caity Lotz) finally making her comeback was a fine moment indeed. Her interactions with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) were well-written, nostalgia-filled discussions. Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) was also in top-form, as the trio made the most of their time together, eventually being joined by a redeemed Laurel. It was just odd, but fun seeing the heroines together, trying to bring a friend back and engaging in some fisticuffs along the way. Director Kristin Windell won me over last year with her superb, well-shot fight scenes in "Doppleganger" and her stylistic, brutal approach to action scenes was evident this time around. From the opening hallway brawl that used creative camera jerks and the final storage house raid, there were plenty of superb fights to enjoy.

I was surprised that Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) had any time at all. Meeting a familiar foe from earlier this season may have seemed tedious, but it did advance the Dante-front a lot better than it should have.

I have to say, I was pleasantly disappointed by "Lost Canary". It delivered in the most unlikely of places. It's villain of the week faltered, but hey, the action, the team-up and the flash-forwards fell into place.

Girls night out
NightmareOnElmStreetFan30 January 2020
Of all the CW superhero shows I only watch Supergirl and Arrow! I hate The Flash because it is more a family drama show than superhero show. "Lost Canary" is about Laurel Lance / Black Siren's redemption. After Laurel was acussed of a murder she went on a dark side and team up with Shadow Thief (Carmel Amit) to commit crimes. So Felicity Smoak (sexy Emily Bett Rickards) calls Sara Lance / White Siren (Caity Lotz) for help to get Laurel back.

I love Arrow I love this show to death! Great performance by Katie Cassidy huge fan of her. I love the actress to death. Great performance by Caity Lotz those two actresses are the best in the whole show. Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity is sexy as always. I love girls, those three actresses are great.

To bad it is a shame this show ended this year after my dad's birthday 28th January. I have not seen the final season yet. I only finished the first six seasons in 2018. I am finishing now Season 7 I have not seen whole Season 7. Stephen Amell is great as Oliver Queen / Green Arrow. Lost Canary is a good episode and Katie Cassidy is sexy babe as always. I thought Season 7 will suck because Oliver wasn't the hood like he was in the first 3 seasons, but this episode surprised me and this season keeps surprising me.

Woman power!
jayscricia1 October 2021
I love this episode so much! I feel as though Laurel's character has fully developed and the actress has grown with the part. I feel like she brought the women of team arrow and DC legends together more fully. This episode starts with a hurt Earth 2 Laurel Lance feeling as though she has no one, like she has her whole life. Felicity stuck by her and the black canary story goes down in history as a supreme power team with famous badass females. Felicity is the hero in this episode, making her character even more loving, powerful and strong despite all the struggles she's faced. Awesome story.

"Arrow" without Oliver Queen doesn't quite work.
Sam_Ash_7616 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I was really looking forward to tonight's episode, it brought back Sara Lane and that did elevate it a tiny bit, however, this is "Arrow" without Oliver Queen and that, of course, isn't going to be as entertaining as it could be.

Making Laurel a villian again, even for a short while, was a huge mistake and really brought the episode down for me. There were great moments here and there, the stuff with Oliver and John was really entertaining (even if it was difficult to not laugh at Diggle's mask whenever it showed up). Another truly amazing moment was when Black Canary finally showed up in the future flashforwards, even if it felt a little bit unearned.

The episode was really just dull and reminded me of a mediocre episode from season 4. This is definitely not a bad episode because the chemistry between Sara and the other supporting characters makes up for it's wrong doings, but it definitely isn't anything special either. It's middle of the road.

Why
zachrob-4759313 February 2020
How did this get made? Has to be the worst episode of Arrow I've seen. All logic is thrown out of the window and the lead has 2 minutes of screen time while the rest of the time seems like a knockoff script for Batwoman. For once though, Felicity is not the worst part of an episode.

This is still Arrow right?
larosaj-2666617 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Just checking since he's barely in the show anymore. Instead we get the future scenes with the most unlikabke actors; especially can't act to save her life Mia. Felicity has also once again become nails on a chalkboard, cringe inducing intolerable. The women throwing the twice their weight men around like rag dolls was as always laughable. Counting the minutes till it's ends permanently.

No More Redemption
ThomasDrufke16 April 2019
It can't be understated how bored I am watching most of the Arrow episodes these days. I rarely pay attention to any of the future storyline dialogue and when you have Oliver and Diggle essentially being background characters in the episode, its very hard to concentrate on any of the crap that presents itself on screen.

There's not much to say here, tonight's episode was a drag and I'm not sure anyone, and I mean ANYONE, asked for yet another Laurel redemption episode. It's the same dang material every single season with these characters and particularly Laurel. I'm glad she's going back to Earth-2. What has it been like 2 years now? No one asked for this.

I'm upset that in an episode that brought Caity Lotz back, the quality was this low. Though I will say, seeing her do the salmon ladder was a nice touch.

That's all I got. Be better Arrow.

No wonder Arrow is being cancelled.
hasansevik17 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Welcome to the Laurel redemption episode 14. She has killed. She continues to kill. But as long as she "feels bad" about it, everything's okay.

This show is being ruined by soap opera writers. I would normally say bring back the darkness, but I'm actually glad this show is getting cancelled now. So many teary self-indulgent scenes... And, of course, all-male bad guys and all-women superheroes who never ever put a foot wrong. Thank you, #metoo.

Arrow without Arrow
tnytatt17 April 2019
The last two seasons have stunk. This episode, as with most of the episodes this season was terrible. This was more of a Charlie's Angel than Green Arrow.
