Sasha Pieterse will always have fond memories of her days in Rosewood, but there’s one piece of Pretty Little Liars herstory that she’d gladly rewrite if given the chance.
Like many fans of the ABC Family-turned-Freeform drama, Pieterse is still unhappy that her character, iconic reformed bad girl Alison Dilaurentis, wound up getting divorced in the series’ short-lived spinoff. Viewers spent seven seasons ‘shipping Alison and Emily (Shay Mitchell), and their patience was rewarded when the series ended with #Emison in a seemingly happy marriage. So imagine their surprise when the first episode of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists,...

Sasha Pieterse wishes Alison Dilaurentis and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) had gotten a happily ever after. In the Pretty Little Liars spinoff series, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, Alison and Emily get divorced, which was a dagger into the heart of the Emison fandom. In an interview with TV Insider, Pieterse revealed her thoughts about Alison and Emily’s fate. “I was super, super, super, super bummed with that storyline. I’m an Emerson shipper, and I was bummed that that’s the direction that it went in,” Pieterse said. “Again, in my universe, in my world, not only would the divorce not have happened, but I just see them being together and being such a good family. I think because of everything that they had gone through, it would never be that easy to separate. I feel like they have been through so much that they would work through things.

We’re getting a first look at FX’s The Full Monty, the eight-part follow-up to the BAFTA-winning movie. FX has released some of the first images from the series that will premiere in June (date Tba) and stream exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu.
Set 25 years after the film, the eight-episode series will follow the same band of brothers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield and society’s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors. The comedy-drama will uncover what happened to the gang after they put their kit back on, exploring their brighter, sillier and more desperate moments. It will also highlight how the fiercely funny world of these working-class heroes – still residing in Sheffield – has changed in the intervening decades.
The original movie’s screenwriter Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) returns, along with co-writer Alice Nutter (Accused), and Uberto Pasolini (Nowhere Special) also coming back as executive producer.

Pretty Little Liars, the soapy teen drama based on the books by Sara Shepard, captivated audiences for seven seasons. The cliquey friend group found themselves being harassed by an anonymous “A” after the disappearance of their leader, snarky Alison Dilaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). But here was something the actor wished had disappeared with her character.

HBO Max's Gossip Girl debuted to a tepid response in 2021, but the series managed to find its footing by the end of the season.
The second season, debuting December 1, improves in many areas, but some of the issues that plagued the freshman season remain.
We'll start with the good. Savannah Lee Smith, who was largely on the periphery of Gossip Girl Season 1, is now front and center, where she belongs.
Monet has evolved from a plot device in Julien's story to a full-blown villain who thrives on chaos.
Armed with the desire to dethrone Julien and take the Upper East Side by storm, we get a feud that serves as a worthy follow-up to the early dynamic between Blair and Serena from the original series.
You can tell off the bat that Savannah is having the time of her life playing this more nuanced villain, and her reign of terror...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” now streaming on HBO Max.
Over the course of its first season, “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” has made numerous references to the original series, “Pretty Little Liars,” which wrapped up five years ago. The biggest tribute, however, came in the season finale.
In the last episode, titled “Final Girls,” Imogen (Bailee Madison) revealed that she decided to place her baby for adoption, as she found a couple who have been trying to have a baby for a long time. Then she shared their names: Ezra and Aria. Longtime “Pll” fans know that the pair, portrayed by Ian Harding and Lucy Hale, got married during the 2017 finale on Freeform. Two years later, while “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” was airing, the official Twitter account revealed that Ezra and Aria had adopted a daughter and named her Katherine Ella,...

And, at the end of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 1 Episode 7, a trailer for the final three episodes of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Season 1 kicked off.
While the clip teases a dangerous finale for the liars, something else caught the attention of fans everywhere.
"The series finale" was shown in the video, hinting that HBO Max has opted to cancel the series after just one season.
Having watched the final three episodes, TV Fanatic can confirm the show doesn't wrap up in a bow, so it's clear there is a desire from the creatives to continue the show.
Unfortunately, we may not get another season.

"Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" is gearing up to put a brand new gang of Liars front and center as they're terrorized by "A" in the highly anticipated reboot. From the creators of "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" and "Riverdale," the forthcoming HBO Max revival promises to up the ante by introducing a darker and gorier twist on the original Freeform teen drama, which ran for seven seasons from 2010 to 2017.
The latest Pretty Little Liars spinoff follows two short-lived spinoffs, "Ravenwood" (2013) and "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists" (2019). While a lot of the central details about "Original Sin" are still under wraps until the show hits the streamer, the biggest question remains - who'll slip into the role of "A" this time around? Continue reading to find out what we know so far about the main antagonist of "Original Sin."

HBO Max is getting ready to try its hand at yet another spinoff of the popular Freeform teenage drama series "Pretty Little Liars," and the first look alone has sent chills down our spines. Could this be the first "Pll" spinoff that goes the distance?
Titled "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin," the forthcoming reboot will follow a fresh bunch of Liars who scramble their way out of a series of troubles that befall them when an unknown Assailant - notoriously dubbed A - threatens to unearth their well-buried secrets. The original mystery drama, which adapts Sara Shepard's YA book series of the same name, ran on Freeform from 2010 to 2017. It spawned two failed spinoffs - 2013's "Ravenswood" and its 2019 follow-up, "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists" - both of which were canceled after one season. Since the previous two shows in the Pretty Little Liars universe have direct ties with the parent series,...

A new generation of liars are up to no good in the first trailer for “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” premiering this summer on HBO Max.
A sequel to the popular 2010 ABC Family/Freeform teen drama “Pretty Little Liars” — based on Sara Shepard’s book series of the same name — “Original Sin” follows the chronology of the original show, which ran for seven seasons and 160 episodes, but focuses on a completely new set of teenagers in a new town
Bailee Madison, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Chandler Kinney and Zaria play the five main characters: Imogen, Minnie, Noa, Tabby and Faran, a group of friends tormented by “A” — an anonymous identity assumed by villains in the original series. Whereas the As from the original show harassed the girls with their personal secrets, this A is going after the friend group for the mistakes their mothers committed while they were in high school.

Titled “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” the series is set within the same universe as the Freeform hit but centers on a different set of characters in a new town. The project is the fourth entry in the “Pretty Little Liars” franchise, following the flagship series (which ran for seven seasons) and the short-lived spinoffs “Ravenswood” and “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.”
Zaria will play Faran, a poised, disciplined ballerina with aspirations to make it out of Millwood. But “A” isn’t the only villain in Faran’s life. In the world of ballet, it’s death by a thousand microaggressions.

Sofia Carson and Charles Melton have boarded director Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum’s YA romance “Purple Hearts,” about two star-crossed lovers. Embankment has launched worldwide sales.
Adapted from Tess Wakefield’s novel by Tony Award nominee Kyle Jarrow (“Valor” TV series) and Liz Garcia, Rosenbaum directs the transformative journey of two passionate young souls, aspiring singer-songwriter Cassie and military man Luke, who in spite of their apparent differences, fall hopelessly in love.
Rosenbaum said: “’Purple Hearts’ provides hope that two people with such differing world views, stuck in the same place, forced to fight the same fight, might be able to learn a little about each other’s beliefs, get over their own bullshit, start to understand each other and just maybe fall in love. It’s a very timely, emotional story – truly a romance for the ages.”
Carson will also write and perform the film’s original soundtrack. The actress,...

HBO Max has given a direct-to-series order to a “Pretty Little Liars” reboot from “Riverdale” creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the streaming service said Thursday.
Titled “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin,” the show will be set in a new town and follow a “new generation” of liars, but exist in the same universe as the Freeform series created by I. Marlene King and based on the novel series of the same name written by Sara Shepard. King is not involved in the reboot.
Here’s the official description for “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin”:
Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own.
