Selfless love props up talent and ambition
magnoliacream2 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Story of orphan Qi Bai cao (Hu Bingqing) who, having been mentored by unfairly disgraced master Qi Xiang Nan (Vincent Chiao) and dashing coach Ruo Bai (Yang Yang), becomes a force to be reckoned with in Yuan Wu Dao, a (probably fictional) form of martial arts based off Taekwondo.

This seems like the usual energy-filled ambition-driven sports-themed teen drama, but the last few minutes abruptly change the tone of this drama into a heart-wrenching tale of selfless love. While Ruo Bai's love for Bai Cao is shown sporadically throughout the series, it's at the end when the extent of his selflessness hits hard. The series is open-ended, but in keeping with its overall tone, I like to think the best outcome possible happens and Season 2 is just Ruo Bai's dream while he is recuperating.

Song Yun Tan delights as Bai Cao's best friend Fan Xiang Ying who has a crush on Ruo Bai. Likewise, Leo Wu entertains as Ruo Bai's roommate Hu Yifeng, who likes Xiang Ying.

afridiayesha26 October 2021
This is an awesome drama I have watched with a different storyline.. The girl Qi Bai Cao with her belief and respect toward her master never gets an opportunity to perform Martial arts as her Master was accused of taking stimulants later she gets a super amazing coach her senior Ruo Bai.. This character Ruo Bai is all about sacrifice the way he gives his everything to her without expecting anything A perfect tutor in every way he is.. His pure feeling never expected any praise nor attention from Qi Bai..also Cheng Xiang is amazing... I personally love Hu Yifeng's charter coz ge is simple funny n awesome.. .Fan Xioying is d friend everyone would crave to have so caring and cute too.. I can't just get over this super amazing drama.

Sad, Predictable and Indecisive
lizadinardo22 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
If it was an anime I would say OP zero to hero in a reverse harem scenario. As sadly is about the level, and as much as some people love it, it just is transparent and gets boring quick.

The show tries to cover it's poor acting, and weak storyline by overloading you with different plot twists and scenarios that are about as see through as glass, and predicted episodes in advance, combined with trying to lay down several potenti\al unrequited love combos so no matter who someone is attracted too, someone else will get hurt.

The acting is bad, and most of the characters quickly forgettable and it honestly makes dramas like Sweet Combat look oscar winning. Even some of the fight features are horrible, with stupidly high jumping and super speed to run around the back of people, in whats supposed to be normal humans.

The show would of been better going for less but with a higher quality effort.
