Tueurs

For me Tueurs feels incomplete. Its chief shortcoming, a story that's not well fleshed out, with characters you never really get to know. The problem with this, of course, is it makes it hard to appreciate whats going on or why people are motivated to do what they do.

By contrast, what this film does do well is action. Readily sprinkled throughout this film, its frenetic, violent and on more than one occasion, a little disturbing.

If the plot had been more substantial and this film maybe 20 minutes longer I think it could have been truly memorable. As its stands, its watchable but also easily forgettable. 6/10 from me.

THE POLITICAL GAME

its a game being played on to us for many years and still going , this french movies exposed exactly how they are playing and people are ignorant enough to believe these games

anyway.

Good cinematography. Excellent sound work. Good story well told and very well performed.

Really enjoyable crime thriller drama movie, i was never bored once during the whole film.

no bling bling exagerated stuff like tough guys on steroids and beautiful girl with big boobs driving a hummer or ferrari , just a pure cold crime story and the whole feels really really realistic as if you were there, and the plot itself is very good.

This is a pure crime flick from Belgium, as was LE FIDELE, another crime film which was released last month. It is partly inspired by actual events that occurred thirty years ago, the Brabant killers. Only partly inspired, not the whole story...Well, you deal here with a powerful action packed crime flick, very inspired from HEAT too, especially heist sequences. But not a HEAT rip-off either. It remains a more than adequate B movie, but too short, as were COLT 45 and BRAQUEURS, also under 85 minutes length features. The tale of a bunch of high scale bank robbers who get set-up in a political affair involving corrupted politicians, minister, shadow underworld who intends to blame the gangsters in the murder of a judge. No lost pace in this accurate, taut crime action film where Olivier Gourmet shines, as usual. I repeat, that's not HEAT but it's fine to watch.

If you follow crime movies since a while, you can remember another one which was released back in 2011, called DE FORCE, also directed by an ex con named Frank Henry, with a story not the same as this one, but the same kind, very dark, bloody, violent and unpredictable, with also female cop involved in an unforeseeable way. Yes there are many similar elements between those two features speaking of armored truck heists and offbeat lead gangster characters.

Damn! This movie is a bomb! "Tueurs" is a belgish "Heat" version. Very dark and brutal, but at the same time exclusively stylish. Colors and camera work. The great merit of this movie is the soundtrack made by Clément 'Animalsons' Dumoulin. It boosts the atmosphere up to maximum level. A real pleasure. Watch and sweat!
